"The song Star Blind is meant to explore the culture of celebrity in western society. In recent years, thanks to the advent of social media, the traditional model of what "famous" is or was has changed by epidemic proportions. The idea of fame hasn't always been seen as such a high goal to so many people. But what was a sometimes blurry line between fame and infamy is now pretty indistinguishable by people who seek validation in a world where it's so hard to find value in themselves. In the current modern digital culture, We need to value substance more than ever."

In November 2015, while As Paradise Falls came towards the end of recording their debut album at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand, the band were invited to support I Killed the Prom Queen in Bangkok.
Tragically, the night before the show, guitarist Glen Barrie suddenly passed away in his sleep, leading to a halt in progress to give each member time to grieve the loss of their brother.
"Originally we started recording the album in November 2015 and in the last week of our time sadly our guitarist Glen Barrie passed away in his sleep due to a sleep disorder, Sleep Apnoea. We took a little time to sort ourselves out and due to personal issues we separated with our vocalist. We then recouped and we were joined by Jimmy Upson on guitar and our new vocalist Shaun Coar joined where we recorded his vocals in a Brisbane Studio with Adam Merker. Whilst he was finishing his duties filling in on tour throughout USA & Europe with Aussie band Feed Her To The Sharks, we went back to Bangkok to add in these vocals and mix and master the album with Shane in October 2016. So this album is of huge significance to us and we're more than happy to talk about Glen and promote this release as a celebration of his life and something his son can remember him by when he is old enough!"
Australian outfit As Paradise Falls burst into the metal scene with the release of their 2014 EP 'Save Yourself' which broke into the iTunes Metal charts at #5 & their debut music video for 'Equilibrium' smashing over 10,000 views in the first week of its arrival, its safe to say this is a band not to be underestimated.
Storming Australia on their first national tour with Molotov Solution (USA) at the end of 2014 and following that up with a headline tour to New Zealand, As Paradise Falls set the bar high with their high intensity live show and strive to breach all expectations.
With a renewed drive and passion for their music and the band as a whole, 2017 brings back a reformed yet determined As Paradise Falls carrying an album full of their best work and the late Glen Barrie's best work.
The single/Music Video 'Digital Ritualʼ is the title track of the album which is available on YouTube and other platforms now.
Their previous EP, Save Yourself, is available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and more now and 'Digital Ritualʼ will be available in 2017 as part of their coming LP.
