· How a late '70s comedy short spoofing the network TV concert show, The Midnight Special, birthed the concept and band that would become Spinal Tap.
· The identity of the only actor who worked with written lines in this wholly improvised-on-the-spot film.
· How the exploits of real-life rockers like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Uriah Heep, Vanilla Fudge, Toto and others led to some of the film's most memorable scenes.
· How Spinal Tap's Stonehenge snafu almost led to a lawsuit by Black Sabbath.
· The creative link between this lighthearted farce and the dark documentary chronicling the Rolling Stones' disastrous free concert at Altamont, Gimme Shelter.
· Why Reiner cut the whole sex narrative out of the film, leaving the acting debut of The Runaways' lead singer Cherie Currie on the cutting room floor.
· The role Martin Scorsese played in inspiring both the film and the "look" director Reiner donned for his on-screen role.
· The identity of the psychedelic legends who headlined Spinal Tap's first-ever live show, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" auteurs, Iron Butterfly.
· The impact the film had on rockers after its release, directly inspiring the exploits of bands like Motley Crue, the black-covered albums of artists like Metallica, and how it became a fave video enjoyed between gigs by bands like U2, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and The Police.
