INVERTED SERENITY: Death Metal Architects Offer Free "Elemental Abyss"
November 15, 2015
Coming off their support slot in Winnipeg last week for 'The Infernus Tour' featuring Hate Eternal, Misery Index, Beyond Creation and Rivers of Nihil, tech death metal architects Inverted Serenity are offering fans a FREE download of their track 'Elemental Abyss' from their new album 'Integral' released last month on October 9th.
The Band Comments On The Track:
"Perhaps our most mature and technically structured songwriting on the record can be found in Elemental Abyss. This song comes out of the gate with a full speed technical thrash pace that unfolds itself into larger layered riffs all while maintaining a mid-paced head-banging groove underlying the majority of the song. Heavy and polyrhythmic riffs are explored akin to the sounds of bands like Decapitated and Meshuggah. A 7/4 time signature is played while Marcos vocals push the thickness of the song along. The track is also outro to the album and has the hugest sounding melodies we have built upon in the history of our band. Tomas' massive sounding screams lead you into the auditory abyss we specifically placed as the final stretch of the album. The themes explored lyrically are tied into the unknowing of our oceans on Earth, which can be paralleled to the unknowing of the depths of our emotions inside of us. While we are immersed in this material world structured by the elements, through discernment and letting go of the weight of physical reality, we are immersed in the fractal nature of reality and its infinite depth."

About:
Inverted Serenity unleashed their latest creation 'Integral' on October 9th to follow up to their 2013 debut album 'Manifestation of Eternity in a World of Time". 'Integral' is a gateway into the infinite fractal nature of the minds of Drew (Parasitism) on guitar, backing vocals, Ben (Moira) on drums, backing vocals, Tom on bass, lead vocals, and Marco on guitar. Topics are inspired from works of many psycho-naughts akin to Carl Jung, involving transcendental, philosophies, global tribe mentality, the impermanence of the physical world, and alchemy. Their riffs range from atmospheric black-metal grooves, old-school inspired death metal passages, thrash riffs, progressive technical journeys, and everything in between for an extremely energetic onslaught of sounds.
