STONE COLD DEAD ́s music is a mixture of extreme groove metal and experimental rock, forged with baritone guitars and bowed contrabass.

Founding member of the band is former Rotting Christ and Nightfall guitarist George Bokos and their debut album, entitled "Lava Flows", will be released on November 6th 2015 via Volcanic Music. Two special features concerning the recording line-up, give a major
peculiarity on this album.

The first feature is the participation of three drummers, as the concept of the album unfolds along the Cosmic Tree, which connects three different realities together (Underworld I.STONE, Terrestrial World II.COLD, Upper World III.DEAD). George Kollias, best known for his work with American technical death metal band Nile, Yannis Stavropoulos, who is one of the greatest all-around drummers in Greece and Dimitrios (Vorskaath) Dorian, mastermind of Zemial, with lots of great projects and diverse music making in his background, are the three extraordinary drummers that recorded for "Lava Flows", three tracks each.

The second special feature of the album is the important role of the contrabass performed by Charis Pazaroulas (ex-Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra). The use of the bowed contrabass in combination with the baritone guitars played by George Bokos, have a significant influence on STONE COLD DEAD's sonic identity. "Lava Flows" is one of the very few albums in the history of metal music, involving contrabass as a key instrument of a band. The album was produced and engineered by George Bokos (Melechesh, George Kollias, Wolfheart), while mixing and mastering was handled by his studio partner, Vasilis Gouvatsos (Nightstalker, Exarsis) at Grindhouse Studio Athens. The CD's artwork was created by Costin Chioreanu (At The Gates, Paradise Lost, Arch Enemy).

"Hubrism" is the title of the first official single, taken from the STONE COLD DEAD's debut album "Lava Flows". The lyrics of the song are influenced by the Ancient tragedy "Prometheus Bound". Manthos Stergiou (Manster Design) created the lyric video for the single, using the artwork by Costin Chioreanu.
