THE ILLUMINATION: Release new lyric video for "A Chance To Change My Ways"
March 31, 2015
Anthem Rock group The Illumination has released a new lyric video for their song "A Chance To Change My Ways". The song was originally on the band's 2013 InVogue Records release "Departures", but the group decided to re-invent the song acoustically. This track marks The Illumination's change in genre from a post-hardcore band to a style that would be recommended for fans of 30 Seconds to Mars, Imagine Dragons, and PVRIS.
The acoustic version of "A Chance To Change My Ways" was produced by Nick Ingram (For Today, Before Their Eyes, City Lights) and mixed by Samuel Winter. The reinvigorated track breathes new life into the original composition, weaving warm harmonies with beautifully crafted instrumentation.

"We are extremely excited to release the acoustic version of 'A Chance To Change My Ways'," says vocalist/guitarist Rod Pires. "This song has helped me understand that in life, when there's an end, there's also a new beginning, and we should never apologize for who we are. This ones from the bottom of my heart. "
About The Illumination:
In October of 2013, The Illumination, founded by former members of From Atlantis, boldly announced their arrival to the scene by signing with InVogue Records and releasing a full length album through Warner Music Group's distribution. Their successful debut, Departures (2013), won them a dedicated global fan-base that continues to grow steadily. After the release, they joined other bands on the road for a few successful tours, giving The Illumination the chance to meet their fans as well as garner new ones.
Feeling the urge to tweak their genre and reach new fans, the band left InVogue Records. They took some time to themselves in order to focus on writing and, after successfully honing in on their image and sound, they recorded their latest single with Dan Korneff (Pierce the Veil, Paramore, Breaking Benjamin).
The Illumination fearlessly progresses musically, incorporating the catchiness of pop with the anthemic nature of rock into their songs. Each one of the three members comes from a different musical background, making their writing process unique and inspiring. Lead vocalist Rod Pires' pop origins bring a pleasant tone and confidence to the vocal melodies, a trait that contrasts beautifully with the dark guitar tones. Their metalcore beginnings have developed and matured into a heavy pop rock style that will both keep existing fans coming back and attract new ones. The three young men from Rhode Island enjoy the challenge of keeping up with the ever changing music industry, skyrocketing their potential into tangible success. As they grow in musicianship, they hope to bring their fans with them ' not leave them behind.
