Ayreon mastermind Arjen Lucassen recently announced his next album as a collaboration with vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering), saying it will be "an epic concept double album, a combination of 'classical meets
metal' and 'acoustic folk'." He has posted a new update online along with the photo above:

"We recorded percussion with Rob Snijders, who as you may know played drums on Ayreon's The Dream Sequencer and my solo album. What a groove and creativity, great job!Hereare some silly pics again, and we even managed to shoot a serious one believe it or not..."

Anneke van Giersbergen recently commented on the project: "Yesch!! I'll be teaming up with the one and only Arjen Lucassen for a concept double album! It will be the two of us, a fabulous overall theme and everything between very loud and pure acoustic. This will be something special!"
