Here you have it guys! The atmospheric and epic Black Metallers are back with their fifth album Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame (excluding their MCD Nightshade Forests).
It seems that Summoning have decided to follow their atmospheric style of music for good. So here it is, the worthy successor of the epic Tolkien saga Stronghold, the newest masterpiece from the Gods, Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame.
The new album combines the strengths of Stronghold with those of past releases making it even more bloody wonderful. The CD, however, leans heavily on keyboard arrangements and the recognizable drum sounds that give Summoning recordings a majestic and epic feeling (Hell yeah! ).
The lyrics continue to be inspired by Tolkien's Books, Songs and poetry (Truly the mastermind of fantasy books), one thing that should be noted here is that in Let Mortal Heroes Sing Your Fame the band does not tend to follow specific story lines from Tolkien's work, so don't be surprised of what you read or hear .
An Awesome production accompanies the great music of this cd, which also as Stronghold, was recorded at Nachschatten Studio, which is owned by Protector himself. The album was engineered and mixed by the band. To conclude concerning the production; everything is heard crystal clear with no annoying sounds of sudden interruptions.
Definitely one of the best black metal releases for this year metalheads. So hear the Summoning horns of war and be prepared to fight for the dark side with black honor.
When the suns rises slowly over the horizon of Middle Earth, powerful drums in the distance will tell of great deeds. And ravens will announce the approach of hoarding armies, the time of myths and legends, of heroism and sacrifice...
