In The Name Of God - DEMO
Ragenheart

Here's a very interesting piece of work from Greece. Ragenheart (a combination of the words rage in heart) was formed in 2001 and I could write about a couple of pages for people joining and departing the band. No point in doing that, so let's see what's up with these lads.
Ragenheart play a really interesting mixture of power / melodic Metal that will bring in mind the early works of Queensryche, Kamelot and maybe (I say maybe) the introversion of Conception. I know that I'm using some really heavy names here to pinpoint the sound identity of the band but after listening to their work several times I gave no second thoughts in doing so.
From the opening speedy Child In Rage to the mid-tempo refrain based In The Name Of God, it is more than obvious that the band shows interest in both the U.S. and the European scene. Even the vocalist that carries with him the distinct Greek accent does his best to follow the rest of the band. Thumbs up for the guitar work of Angel (not a really Metal name but ok) that is impressive yet no blither at all. Angel is also the main composer of the band.
The production could have been better (in my opinion without being bad, it steals away a couple of points from the overall sum) with the drums sounding too thin for my taste. In conclusion this is definitely a band the fans of the genre should look out for. I am looking forward to listening to a full-length release.
