This promo is a taste from MORPHEUS' upcoming album, Extermination Of The Dominant Species. In these three songs it is obvious that they must listen to a lot of DIMMU BORGIR, EMPEROR and ARCTURUS. The beginning of Under Morphine Skies reminds me a lot of EMPEROR (basically their last two albums) while some vocals, keys and melodies are coming from ARCTURUS. But, in my opinion, their main influence is DIMMU BORGIR.
To make myself clear, there are not a lot of bands I can stand their keys' parts into black metal, but I think that if you are into the previous bands you'll find something good here. The production is nice and it's impressive that the mastering was done by Andy Classen in his Stage-One studios.
Also three songs can be found in MORPHEUS' site, so you can hear them. Best song probably is Melancholic Nostalgia In Black, especially for it's start. We'll be waiting for the album.
