LWS Inc - Welcome To The Asylum album cover

How many times have you found yourself screaming Aaarrg! to expose your primitive Metal feelings? None? A few? Enough? Many? Always? Now, bear in mind there was such a label, named as Aaarrg Records, that hosted enough 80s European Speed/Thrash Metal bands. You may know some of 'em: HOLY MOSES, LIVING DEATH, MEKONG DELTA, TARGET, SIREN and (a more obscure act) LUNATICS WITHOUT SKATEBOARDS Inc., aka LWS Inc.. Guys in the Rusty Cage label, thanks for the reminder!
Apart from the elite in the European Speed/Thrash Metal scene in the mid-80s - HELLOWEEN, KREATOR, RAGE, RUNNING WILD, DESTRUCTION etc - there was an enormous list of bands trying hard to depict their own on-the-edge Metal vibe. Faster and wilder than the average Metal acts, but not that evil as e.g. SODOM or CELTIC FROST, many bands formed by maniac metalheads wrote fast music with sharp and dirty vocals ('dirty' may refer to the non-English singers' accent, too) and it was good luck that a o dozen of relative labels were assembled - apart from Noise, Steamhammer or Roadrunner at the time - to help releasing some wonderful Metal music. I can recall Earthshaker, Atom H, Megaton, Disaster, Under One Flag and a couple of others...
LWS Inc. - hailing from the Netherlands - delivered the Welcome To The Asylum album back in 1989 via the Aaarrg label. Fast music, one foot in Speed Metal and the other one nailed to the Euro Thrash base. The guitars are sharp, the solos are neck breaking, you won't see much of harmony inside; uncompromising songs in the vein of fellow European bands of the time such as (early) KREATOR, LIVING DEATH, EXUMER, DEATHROW, DARKNESS and (whoever knows the above mentioned bands) the rest of the clan. Furious breaks, hellhound vocals, raw production and - if you're an 80s metalhead you can figure the rest.
LWS Inc had already distributed their self-financed Death And Die demo one year earlier - who's missed tape trading? - gaining enough local reputation, while their second demo recording entitled The Second Coming arrived in 1991. No news were bad news for the acceptance of this recording, hence the band split up (note: it seems a sophomore full-length was released in 1996, Reality, still petite info is given 'bout this one).
The complete Death And Die demo is added as a bonus in this re-release; a re-release that's just 'right' for old-school Speed/Thrash maniacs the European way. Else, limited are the chances you'll give a damn, that's for sure.
