Katara
Karma Violens

One more Metalcore band is here to prove that this genre has flooded the Metal market. This time it is KARMA VIOLENS, a Greek band that strives to be known in this Metalcore pandemonium. While browsing through the booklet and the A4 copy that mentions some bio stuff, I came across some pretty interesting things that made me expect a pretty heavy and strong band.
Does the fact that this EP has been mastered at Hertz Studio make you believe that this band will be a really brutal one? Do you think that the guest appearances of Mineiro (ex-INACTIVE MESSIAH) and CHOIR OF DESPAIR make this EP even more interesting? Well, not really...
KARMA VIOLENS really disappointed me with their common and uninspired music. The riffing is boring and the vocals are not the best I have ever heard for sure! What's annoying me is that it is more than obvious that these guys have great potential to create something heavy that will kick some major ass, but instead they bury their talent in five not so good compositions. Some beatdown moments here and there try to save the day, but they really can't.
This is their first official release, since their first release was a demo with a live recording, so I want to give them some time and wait for their next step. I am sure that KARMA VIOLENS can offer many great things in the future; they just have to find the right way and work harder.
