Universo Inverso

KIKO LOUREIRO makes his comeback with his brand new instrumental album called Universo Inverso. This is also an instrumental album like the previous one No Gravity. Here you can enjoy the work of this well known ANGRA member having influences and composing his songs mostly based on contemporary and traditional Latin music style.
On of the major positive things - which sadly enough is a drawback at the same time - is the fact that these kind of records mostly appeal to guitar influenced listeners, in other words if you are not that much into instrumental you run the risk of being bored with this kind of music from time to time. If you are into SANTANA or stuff like that then this album will kind of appeal to you more than other guitar based records which tend to imitate SATRIANI or VAI.
Here - as said before - you can also find many SANTANA influences and generally latin based related musical ingredients. This album is also ideal for relaxing or laying back in your couch with a pina colada or a shaken martini right James? I think that from one point of view this could be an excellent idea for radio stations especially in the summer in the beach. Kiko sounds more sophisticated and mature in this one, compared to his previous work. On the whole this album seems as an improved version of its predecessor No Gravity as it is more focused and more concrete this time plus the fact that it does not make you feel boredom in most of the cases. If you are generally into this guitar stuff this album definitely meets your needs - if you are not just check out your latin influences and give this album a chance. Highlights of this album can be considered - amongst the other - the following ones: Samba Da Elisa , Camino A Casa , Feijao De Corda and Monday Mourning .
