Terrestrial Hospice - Caviary to the General album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: TERRESTRIAL HOSPICE; signed via Ancient Dead Productions, hailing from Polish grounds - performing Black Metal, on their sophomoric full-length studio album entitled: "Caviary to the General" (released February 10th, 2023). Since formation in 2018; the duo in question have an EP entitled: "Universal Hate Speech" (released March 5th, 2018), and 2 full-length studio albums in their discography so far entitled: "Indian Summer Brought Mushrooms Clouds" (released June 8th, 2020) on top of this here 2nd offering of which I am introduced to entitled: "Caviary to the General". 9 tracks ranging around 45:32; TERRESTRIAL HOSPICE arranges an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Black Metal developments.

Opening up with this blistering barrage frenzy in boisterously bouncy chaos; "Rat In A Burning Cage" executes a berserking conundrum in bulldozing rifts of rampaging ruthlessness, seamlessly ramifying this sulphurous slab of solid wrath & stampeding maliciousness. Belting a clobbering foundation in groovy grinds and savagely sinister remedy; this wildly rushing snare of scouring shrieks revel with symbolic virtuosity for an evil empowering aesthetic. Executing a firing all cylinder fabrication as gnarly distortion forges an all guns blazing distinction on monolithic tempo amongst a dexterously dynamic rip of shredding synergy from duo ragers Inferno & Skyggen. Both element at a flamboyant artillery in flexible substance of piledriving rampancy, especially in the monstrously meaty tightness within the maniacal "In the Streams of Phlegethon".

A catchy crunch implements killer laceration of organic momentum; where volatile thuds of sturdy punchline trembles rumble with reverberating perseverance & sonic viscerality, tremolo building crescendos unleash rompy stompiness with rambunctious calamity... injecting an infectious overdose on ominously jarring thumpiness which thunders with razor-sharp bludgeoning in experimental hooks of rapidly swift nimbleness that contrasts into a relentless persistence of diabolical adrenaline. "December Night" pummels through with more piercing stability; showcasing some throaty raspiness that's merged with the malevolent transgression of oppressive songwriting musicianship that rollicks with chugging gallops and frolicking deathliness, converging an atmospheric haze in abominable impact for good enthrallment.

"Extinction Delight" impulses you with more concretely gritty desegregation prowess; utilising versatile vehemency with a demonic intensity, immensely constructing a fierce firepower expertise that's venomously surging with jumpy weight & profusely robust melody. Vocals soar with grunty gutturals and barking yells of shouty aggression, as extreme pursuits strike with malignant maelstrom stridency which strife with snappy mobility to boot. Distilling a chiselling density in ground-breaking amplification; trailblazing speed rivets with wicked bestiality, as blasting instrumental finesse bombards eardrums with pulverizing outrage & smacking viciousness. Where "Vermin" spits out some bleeding cords, as this thrilling yet tribal rawness primitively engages an impending possession to make you want to break chair over other chairs in no time flat... as a devilish furore will soon overtake your soul once you press play with this record.

"The Last Dance" conjures up more satanic devilment; demonstrating barbaric intentions of salubrious contortion and brutal bedlam, this record offers a burning ferocity that will not slow down. As flickering force creates a crushing sound production that makes this an addictive listen so far, blackened abhorrence best describes this performance whilst throttling licks snarl pugnaciously with strong effect. Elsewhere; "Memoir" manifests with rebellious retribution, yet again... a blasting jolt of technical precision & prodigious bolts in bruising chunkiness assimilates an exhilarating vigour with rigorously rugged thrust that's most mighty, unearthing some prestigious tactics that swerve with tenacious hostility in which portrays this foul grime of vile intentions for good measure.

The penultimate banger "Path to Mahasamadhi" grips virulently with meticulous musical tribulation & resilience, renegading a burning desire in decaying but foreboding demonics that fabricates at a degenerating but unholy zeal of baleful enticements that's most splendid to thrash to. Overall concluding "Caviary to the General" with the finale epic basher: "Ars Moriendi" this towering systemic of profanity & twinning guitar/double bass battering audibility thumps out some stompy precision of steely revulsion that makes this duo a potentially talented ability in delivering justifiable yet professional quality of this subgenre at hand.

Bottom line; I enjoyed a masterclass slice of this headed Black Metal masterpiece of nihilist torment and dark but doomy embrace (of the grandiose but good kind) that shouldn't go amiss, an entertaining discovery should you fancy a healthy dose in killer Black Metal masquerade that TERRESTRIAL HOSPICE most surely outdone themselves with. "Caviary to the General" is worthy of spinning & replaying a good bunch of times, do check it out! Not bad at all for a 2nd deliverance, I will most definitely be keeping my eyes on this band for future reference.
