Demonologist - I Curse

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: DEMONOLOGIST; signed via Kvlt And Kaos Productions, hailing from Ukrainian grounds - performing Black/Thrash Metal, on their debut Full-length Album entitled: "I Curse, I Dance" (released October 31st, 2021). Since formation in 2021; the trio in question have only a Single entitled: "Psycho Path" (released September 3rd, 2021) and this here debut Full-length Album entitled: "I Curse, I Dance" in their discography so far; I am introduced to the debut Full-length Album of which ranges at around 39:44, DEMONOLOGIST arrange an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Black/Thrash Metal amalgamations.

Opening up with an ominously jarring intro of scathing sword slicing; "Be My Guest" begins the record with an immediate influence on the CARCASS aesthetic, consisting of Alex Sidorenko on vocals - the front man excels at a high-pitched yell of shouty raspiness & throaty aggression. Grinding along with the slaying remedies on rawly rough pandemonium, while ruthlessly stampeding with trailblazing hooks and concretely gritty distortion. "Psycho Path" needs no introduction, it's a battering rampage of extreme hostility and bludgeoning furocity. Groovy bombast belts a clobbering intensity of monstrously meaty mayhem, triggering sturdy thuds of malevolent synergy while a boisterously bouncy foundation of jumpy punchiness snarls with scouring rifts of blistering blasphemy. "Gastronomikon" flamboyantly rumbles with reverberation melody, as chiseling harmonies revel with rampantly rompy distinction among a distinguished virtuosity on quintessential gnarliness in which will make one want to break chairs over other chairs in no time!

Konstantin Ratnikov on guitar frets with weighty firepower expertise, stridently swifting with nimble malice while killer laceration grunts out viciously primitive rhythms & rambunctious piledrives that soar with steamrolling persistence. "High On Evil" is an adrenaline fuelled semblance of evil empowering calamity, strifing with savagely sinister technicalities & complexly dexterous volatility. A bombing amount of nuclear blasting disorder hammers with wildly rushing sharpness, while drilling a vibrantly potent versatility on uniquely symbolic vehemence. While an atmospheric wave starts "R'Lyeh off with dynamic ambience until more skyrocketing torment towers with this crystal clear sound production that just sounds so damn good for heads to rollick to, frolicking gallops inject an infectiously thumpy substance of organically stompy steeliness - the kind that just makes you want to repeat this perfect slab of solid mettle over & over again, with thanks to the trembling maelstrom momentum from audible bassist Vyacheslav Slavinsky.

"Fry Till Crust" brings forth the more speedy yet progressive agility for immersive detail, diligently showcasing more of that broad spectrum of brutally chunky choppiness that strikes with monolithic tempos & sonically seamless pursuits of swerving deadliness. Another hefty loft within the titular track also crafts a frantic element in gravitational descegration, riffs transcend with ultra violence & relentlessly exercising ruggedness. Seriously, this is the kind of metal that serves with prodigious yet repugnantly poignant impact in which will most definitely start your day off right - or engage in a prolific hour of oppressive yet demented assaults of onslaughting noise terror. Ah, "Extra Malice" another track that needs no intro. A high-octane wrath of imploding but sulfurously vindictive belligerence in which supplies foreboding mobility, where vigorous yet radically wicked transparency mounts with shredding brilliancy.

"Bilesplitter" furnaces with more hell-bent domination, as hasteful but tremoring malignance arms a healthy dose of skull crushing and bone breaking finesse for all maniacs to thrash til death to. Nothing short of bulldozing subjugation shrines with profane perfection here, an indelible trial of soul soothing yet salubrious blitzkrieg in which simply just makes me want to replay over and over at the gym for maximum potential. The penultimate thrasher "Ashes In Air" is a demonizing crusher, an all guns blazing and firing on all cylinders thrasher that will motor your diabolical needs with full force immensity.

Overall concluding "I Curse, I Dance" with the overall concluding banger "Tekeli-Li!" which merges that Black Metal tremolo picking atmosphere the most within the entire record, the entire recording presents a decent variety of Black/Thrash/Death Metal in pulverizing fashion - pounding along with piercing perseverance while profusely robust proficiencies perfectly do justice towards these sub-genres in place.

Bottom line; I am compelled to say that this was most definitely an enjoyably entertaining discovery, an experience in which most surely deserves listening to & a strict reminder that Metal is doing amazingly well on its own merit - proud & strong; no matter the themes or genres, a re-playable spin and an epic masterpiece that certainly begs to be checked out - short yet sweet, it's a paragon spectral on berserking havoc and interventional revolution on violent warfare - now jump to it...you will not regret it. SLAYER may have retired, but bands like this are more than capable of carrying the torch of which I will welcome.
