Grave Digger - The Grave Digger album cover

After two years of silence the Grave Digger is back!! Chris and his mates break in our music awareness with their new title album The Grave Digger. Ex Rage guitar player Manni Schmidt joined the band and automatically the sound is heavier and more mature. Something that I was expecting and I am glad it happened.
What we got here is high-quality, melodious heavy metal with the same old good guitar riffs, the epic feeling and choruses. Something that we also name as Teutonic metal, and something that Grave Digger know how to play best. We can notice that the band increased the solos in the songs and makes them also more melodic.
The compositions are more technically with complex arrangements, reminds me the Heart Of Darkness LP. Power, energy, quality and accessibility are once again their components for certain success but this time we also note a more dark and maybe evil attitude.
Once again we are talking about a concept album and Edgar Allen Poe inspires the lyrics, which are more dark and evil. They might change their line up but their typical trademarks are still there. Like the screaming and characteristic voice of Chris and of course the straight compositions among the powerful choruses.
Production made by Chris Boltendahl, Jorg Umbreit, Manni Schmidt and the Resetti brothers in Principal Studios and it's just unbelievable. If you are a fan of the band then you know what to expect from them and this time it's even better. If you are not yet, than probably is the right time to introduce you. Highly recommended!!
