IncognoscI - A Biography Of Madness album cover

INCOGNOSCI are a death metal band from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, and they are no strangers to the world of death metal forming in 2008 from the ashes of the band NECROPSE and in 2012 becoming INCOGNOSCI, following on from there releasing a demo titled "Trapped In Spontaneous Disintegration" in 2013. The band released only one single between their initial demo and their debut full length studio album "A Biography Of Madness" that single was titled "Eleven Years" which was released in 2015 with their debut album not to be released until September of 2020 via Extreme Sound Records.

This album is loaded with eight tracks for death metal fans to enjoy, with the dark and demonic sounding vocal growl from Iron Júnior, Jonathas Pereira holding it down with up tempo fast paced intense guitar playing which is complimented nicely by the equally fast paced and chaotic drumming of Braulio Drummond and is held down well by the talented Marcos Medeiros on the bass guitar. The energy and intensity brought throughout this album from the opening to closing tracks is pure energy and intensity definitely an album fittng a title like "A Biography Of Madness" as this album most definitely is complete and utter madness.

Despite not being on streaming services, there are two tracks on this album that had been released prior to the albums release, track number five "Eleven Years" which was released as a single back in 2015 and track number eight "Trapped In Spontaneous Disintegration" which was released in demo form in 2013. "Eleven Years" is a very interesting and intense track with some incredible guitar solo work which added another layer to the heavy, intense & chaotic nature of the bands music, still had those chaotic elements from the blast beat drumming and fast and heavy guitar riffs which almost make the vocals sound heavier and more demonic to listen to.

"Trapped In Spontaneous Disintegration" is an great rack to end an album on as it's got just the right level of energy and intensity to provide a good ending point for an album but also to leave listeners wanting more and in anticipation for the bands next release whenever that may be. Having listened to this album in it's entirety I can say that fans of death metal will love it, it fills listeners with energy and gives them no choice but to head bang from one end of the album to the other, very solid album, if you like songs with dark themes such as torture and trauma, this is the album for you.
