Destrage - Urban Being album cover

That's a really good Italian Metal. I admit I didn't see that coming from the DESTRAGE quintet! Beautiful and clever cover artwork, ass kicking music and five talented musicians are more than enough to present one of the hottest newcomers, at least for my humble ears. You HAVE to check them out mates!

The band hails from Milan, Italy, and is alive and kicking for only a few years, (if I am not mistaken they were formed somewhere around 2002). With two demo CD's under their belt, the Italians set sail for their very first full-length album through the also Italian Coroner Records. Is Urban Being enough for your metallic appetite? I am damn sure it is!

The incredible thing about these guys is that they manage to mix different sounds like melodic Death Metal, modern Metal, the sound of the US scene (Hardcore, Thrash, Metalcore) and some pure Rock And Roll touches. And believe me, they have worked a lot on their music and what is contained in these approximately 45 minutes is a fine sample of modern Metal holocaust! With a talented singer that can equally handle brutal and clean vocals, two killer guitarists and a solid as fuck rhythm section, DESTRAGE knock you out with face melting music that will probably satisfy even the hard ones. Whether you are a young Metalcore fan or someone who is into the groovy stuff of SEPULTURA and THE HAUNTED, you will definitely find something for you in Urban Being.

A fine album all around with a heavy and crystal clear sound (the album was produced by DISARMONIA MUNDI's Ettore Rigotti) and tight compositions. I advise you to give it a chance and believe me you won't be disappointed. Congratulations guys! I hope your next releases are of the same standards.
