Demonbreed - Closer To God album cover

Closer To God is a good album but not a great one, simply because Demonbreed chose to stay in the shadow of great bands. You could save time and money by getting a Haunted album and never even have the slightest urge towards the specific band.
Demonbreed originate from previous acts as Four Random Words, Lost End and North By Northwest. Although the Englanders have been on the scene for a short time, they have gained a substantial local following due to energetic live shows and audience participation.
Don't get me wrong, the band doesn't suck. On the contrary, they know the rules of the game (and in this case of Thrash/Hardcore) but they lack vision and ingenious. Although they may not be characterized as inspired, they could substantially improve given they work more on the production and lower the vocal range (not a great fan of high pitched, Hardcore-type screaming)
The band plays with fire in their belly; it's obvious they are passionate with what they do. By following the previous suggestions and going to a deserted island for a couple of weeks to stay influenced-free, they could enter someone's playlist.
