Let Love Rain On Me

Until I met Doro Pesch for an interview I had never really been into her music. I'm not a Warlock fan and I only knew little about her solo career; what anyone knows if he has only heard some songs by coincidence. After talking to her I was so impressed by her class and natural kindness that I thought it would be a nice idea listening to some staff. And her new work is definately worth of the time.
What we have here is the EP which manages to maintain its independence from the album since most of the tracks are not included there in the same form. The album review will follow very soon.
Doro, in co-operation with the Classic Night Orchestra, presents 3 new songs. The title track, a sweet and soft ballad of great sentimentality, is also available in its French and Spanish version, as a tribute to her huge Spanish fanbase.
Then there is an interesting as much as unexpected version of Breaking The Law: combining acoustic guitars and symphonic parts with some typical Doro vocals-the Lady confirms that she is the top female personality of the Metal scene and certainly among the "gurus in general. You will probably be suspicious at first but I bet that in a day or so you will have already got used to a really different style of one of your Heavy Metal hymns.
I Rule The Ruins is also a great song. The Orchestra members give their best and the tremor of Doro's voice will touch you.
Rare Diamonds moves in the same path: another ballad with fantastic impulse recorded live at the Major's Club.
Last but not least, there is a bonus video-track of Unholy Love taken from the Anniversary Concert at Dusseldorf Philipshalle in December 2003.
As you see the EP gives a strong promise for a very good forthcoming album. So, stay tuned.
