Defiled are a Japanese death/grind band. No, they are not Ninjas and they don't throw smoke-bombs neither transform into bushes. They are just another death/grind band from Japan, the land of the rising sun. Tee hee hee..!! Japan is a land with a great tradition to Death metal and Grind core and Defiled seem to have the reputation of a traditional band.

The production is pretty strange, the guitars have a very noisy and massive sound and the drums could be made out of liquid when they recorded it. Well this might be good and bad at the same time. Some prefer the ugly sound in a death grind band (I am one of them, so I think the production rocks), others believe that the sound should be crystal clear. Well it's not... are you gonna do something about that? The record is sickening, fast, brutal and has slow parts. Well I think they know what they are doing, but still they need to work it out some more. Since they escaped the trap of 'LET US RIP OFF SOME MORE' they are on a good track. 18 songs among them 7 intros and 3 older recordings make this record a good one to buy, but don't take this as a standard. You better listen to it before you put your money on it because it is a strange album, some may like it where others might not.

I enjoyed the album, it was a good sickening 37 minute bonegrinding holocaust.
