Kill
Cannibal Corpse

I had a hell of a good time while listening to these sick motherfuckers!!! They can't stop reminding us that they're one of the greatest Death Metal bands ever. I was impatient to listen to their latest release, which happens to be the one I'm holding in my hands. Let's all get together and GROWL!!!
Based in Tampa, Florida, this band achieved to become one of the most hated ones. Some of their releases are completely banned in certain countries. This is due to their characteristic splatter lyrical themes, covers, blah, blah, blah... So, has anything changed since Wretched Spawn (2004)? Jack Owen left the band to join Deicide and Rob Barrett was officially confirmed as a replacement. Kill is their 10th release for Metal Blade Records and life goes on...
Nothing has changed regarding their style. How could anything change when we're talking about a band that has created its own, unique style? Gore, speed, rotten melodies and tons of technical parts. In my humble opinion it's not as good as The Wretched Spawn but is good enough to blow your brains out onto the wall! Reviewing such bands is hard because you don't have to say much about the masters of a genre, and Cannibal Corpse are one of the top bands in Death Metal. We're talking about an album that sold over 7,000 copies in its first week of release in the US. It also reached position No. 170 on the US national charts. Alex Webster and his mates recorded one more Death Metal masterpiece. The only thing that disappointed me was the artwork of the record. I didn't expect such a simple cover! Where are the guts? Where is the blood, the pain? On a second thought, this cover may be more sick and psychotic than any other Cannibal Corpse cover... The tracks remain as sick as possible.
Kill is a record that makes you listen to it again and again. Every time you listen to it, you discover more and more things. The only thing you have to do is run out into the streets and scream Cannibal Corpse strike again! They're fucking brutal!!!
The limited edition comes with a DVD containing their live appearance in Strasbourg. There is also an LP edition in red vinyl.
