"Lets Get Born" starts off with a demonic voice saying the words Heavy Metal and after that a drum beat kicks in followed by an ultra fast guitar riff that is incredibly melodic. This song definitely has an element of 1980's New Wave of British Heavy Metal and Thrash Metal from the early 1980's about it. It's like IRON MAIDEN and MEGADETH have been mixed into this one song as Wrestling have definitely captured that early Iron Maiden sound with the vocals and drums and the guitars are a definite sound of early 1980's. The second track on the album is called 'Surreal Killer' and it immediately starts with the vocals sounding like a whaling banshee when he screams. They are then followed with an incredibly hard pounding drum beat which is then followed by a slower tempo and then speeds up which is amazing for those who love this sort of music, which I do, it does this a few times even when there is an incredibly memorable guitar solo near the end. It starts hard hitting and fast and then slows down for the second part of the solo and then speeds up with the vocals again and then slows down again for the chorus and it causes the audience to headbang to it like I am now; it is impossible not to even if you don't listen to this genre of music you will be headbanging to it and raising your devil horns to it in enjoyment. This is a track to remember.
"Venom Makes Me Stronger" starts off with a pretty fast drumbeat and then everything kicks in around with a very typical 1980's guitar riff and vocal style, which reminds me of a certain JUDAS PRIEST song, it has this throughout the song even through the guitar solos you can definitely hear their influence in this song. You can definitely hear the vocals and the other instruments in this song, which is a thumbs up for the production team. "Kitsch In America" is a bit different to the others as when the vocalist starts singing it almost sounds like an 80's pop song almost like DURAN DURAN or THE HUMAN LEAGUE but the guitars, bass and drums still has that 80's Heavy Metal aggression and so do the vocals from time to time; they switch from an 80's pop vibe to a more a aggressive Heavy Metal band. Within two minutes the song goes nuclear when you hear the guitar solo. After this its like the vocalist embraces a singing style similar to that of the vocalist from ACCEPT and then switches back to the more pop style towards the end of the track.
"Drunk and Alone" starts off with a shredding guitar solo sounding almost like DIRE STRAITS and so does the vocal style and the tempo of the song; it is very 80's dire straits sounding. Let me say it sounds like them but not copying them, which is essential and this definitely a song that is a Headbanging song. The Guitar solo definitely has influence of this as you can hear it when it is playing. Drunk and alone is a more chilled out track from the earlier tracks which is something which 80's speed and thrash metal bands have done in their albums; they change the tempo half way through an album to keep it fresh, exciting and interesting. "Wrestlemania VI" starts off with a voice over and encourages a chant with from the audience when you listen to it. Its not an overly complicated song to listen to as the song is about what the title says; it's a song that it singing about wrestling and you can definitely hear that as the song progresses and you can hear that in the structure of the song. It also traditionally finishes off with another ear splitting guitar solo.
"Beyond The Limits" starts off with a thumping guitar riff and a pounding bass riff. All the instruments sound like it encourages the listener to bang their head to it as the song progresses. It has another banshee like guitar solo with a vocal style that sounds like a typical early 80s Heavy metal band. "Feels Like Midnight" starts off quite slow and then it kicks off with an incredibly fast verse. The vocals again sound like the band has a definite influence from very early 1980's IRON MAIDEN; Heavy Metal with a borderline punk influence. "Driving All Night" starts off with a car starting its engine and after it starts their kicks off a guitar riff and when you hear the tire screech the rest of the band starts playing the music. After listening to this track for a few minutes I have to say the song does live up to its name, it does make you feel like you are driving all night; its not a dig at the band but it does drag on a bit.
"The Solution To All Your Problems" is energetic and it does have an exciting guitar at the start and the vocals help it to progress the story the song is telling; although the vocal style might need to altar as the chorus does drag on for the listener. "See Delight" has a great intro and it has carries on with a very upbeat riff throughout the verses and chorus'. I particularly like it when the song speeds up halfway through and when it slows down and speeds up again. The drumming in this song is has a very good beat and works very well with the guitar track.
My conclusion for this album is that I give it a 7/10. Production is excellent as I could hear every instrument superbly. Bass, drums, and guitars were played to a fantastic standard. Vocals were pretty good at first but I think they are somewhat lacking for the band; if this was a Thrash Metal or a Speed Metal band then the vocal style would suit the music but for this particular genre I feel the vocals don't suit the music unfortunately. But on the whole I couldn't falter anything else.
