When I said that I wanted to review this album everyone looked at me having a really odd look and I admit I was a bit worried at first. Basically, it was true that this would be a really hard review, since ANORIMOI is a weird band and the name, as well as the song titles are in Greek, so I tried to write them in greeklish (I did my best at least). Let's see what we can do about these sickos over here.
As you have probably noticed, I described what this band is in my report for the March Metal Day festival that took place here in Athens. The year this band was formed is unknown to me, but that's definitely not what matters right now. The band managed to sign a contract with the well known label Warner Music (!?) and has released its brand new album entitled 17 Katsarides.
The band is basically a... let's say comedy Metal band. I have known this band for some years and I admit that I am a kind of fan. They have a nice sense of humor and their songs feature some nice melodies that could easily be in a song of a normal Metal band (even though I don't swear that the music is 100% original). The band's members are definitely talented musicians, and in fact Necropethamenos is the singer of the Greek/Swedish Death Metal act SYSTEM SHOCK, as well as the singer for the Greek groovy Death Metal band DOUBLE SQUARE.
If you are into stuff like NANOWAR (ANORIMOI have shared the stage with them in the past), TENACIOUS D etc and you are Greek or you know the Greek language, you can check them out at your own risk (check, also, the video for Sto Prwto Rantevou below)! That's all I had to say. Oh, don't tell me you want me to rate this album. This is up to the listener. If I do such a thing it would be a rating by an ANORIMOI fan and nothing else!
