Although not really the biggest Power Metal fan, what impressed me about MILTA is that they are only a duo that are nevertheless able to achieve what even a more traditional four piece would sometimes find hard to do. That they are able to pull off this type of a sound between the two of them makes it an even more impressive feat.

"Where heroes Rise" , is a straight forward mid-tempo metal song, with atmospheric background keys, lyrics of destiny and power, fate and dragons and a battle going on accompanied by a melodic uplifting chorus and straight ahead galloping riffs and a pumping bass  with some cool drum break's towards the end of the song, before finishing off with slightly faster version of the opening riff motive. It is solid opening track that sets tone nicely on what to expect on rest of album.

"Now and till the end", a short drum intro launches into the main riff, a bit more upbeat than the 1^st song and with a stronger chorus mixed further into the mix, a heroic tale of a warrior fighting on until the bitter end.

"The Mire", starts with a riff reminiscent of Judas Priest, preceded by atmospheric keys, a slower song than the two previous tracks with another uplifting chorus, a hallway break that goes back to the opening keyboard melody which carries on for a minute or so without any other instruments accompanying it, again reverting to the main opening riff before closing with the same aforementioned keyboard melody. Whereas previous songs were pretty straight ahead metal songs this track changes it up a bit by being slower and more orchestral in nature.

 "Heart of a Warrior" is like the 1^st two opening songs a solid affair, with a rousing chorus and a melody driven standard power metal riff, lyrics about brothers in arms going into battle and defeating the enemy, about half way through the chorus that is mixed more into the background and a slight progressive riff, no idea how they did it but what starts out as another generic track quickly turns into my favourite so far due to its slight riff variation and a slight offbeat rhythm concluding in a song that I can only describe as sort of a mix between a simpler Manowar  combined with a slight Queensryche during the Warning era feel.  This is a strong song which should be good live in front of a crowd of true Metal Warriors.

Overall the album is a solid if unspectacular power metal album with some outstanding moments and a production that is refreshingly gritty and not overproduced.  If you can imagine a mix of Manowar and Judas Priest then you should check out MILTA.
