Road To Macedonia
Arryan Path

It was about time for our brothers from Cyprus to release a full length album. Those of us who have heard their first two demos were expecting this debut like very few other ones. I would only complain about the absence of the majestic ballad Destiny (put it in the next album, guys! Come on!).
Arryan is a type of flower that grows on the American continents, so Arryan Path is a path of flowers (taken from an interview the band once gave). Not many things are known about this band. Formed in the U.S.A., the band went through a lot of lineup changes. During that period they released two demo CDs, Return To Troy and Osiris. Their debut contains many songs from those two demos.
Arryan Path is one of those bands that you can't classify strictly as a Metal outfit. They are too majestic for that. Their base is Heavy Metal of course but only driven to write epic music, whatever that means. Led by a magnificent vocalist they add tons of influences to their songs. Some of you might find the excessive use of keyboards a bit annoying but try to keep in mind the band's bizarre profile. They're not the new Rhapsody after all (thank God for that one!). Songs like Osiris or Piri Reis are stunning, while Arryan Path and Ivorian are simply too damn good!
They could have had a better production but still this one is quite good. Now tell me how many cool bands you know from Cyprus? Give up? Arryan Path is probably the best act over there. Fans of Epic Metal the way Virgin Steele define will probably fall in love with this one!
