Greece have a unique evil touch when it comes to black metal, the sound of the new and long anticipated 3rd full length album of NOCTERINTY follows the steps of ancients gods like the early ROTTING CHRIST & NECROMANTIA, it fills you with numbness, unable to move , unable to concentrate in nothing, except the soothing Bass line and melodies.
NOCTERINTY had been here since 1997 and released about 10 EP's and split albums that bring the darkness back to the island of the titans, but this album is a grown and mature prayer for the dark room listeners, the voice of W mesmerize through the songs and capture the ear like hypnotic spell.
"Harps of the Ancient Temples" gives us 8 songs full of depression and loneliness, mostly slow riffs that are a great cure to the brutal black metal that capture the genre in the past years, it is well produced to the point the sound lives and create the atmosphere we love to dwell in in time of need, In times of sorrow.
"Blood Rite Tree" the 7th track is pure dark jewel that flows like an everlasting stream directly to the blackest of all holes; it guides the listener to that very core that this genre was born to take.
"Titans" the 3rd song is the "high" speed track that even though it doubles the tempo from the other tracks, the slow vocals sits perfectly and connects it to album in the right place and time.
The two last songs "Opaline eye of death" & "Andromeda" ends the album with slow riffs And gentle drum sessions that fills the entire album with an old-school sound and drum skills, it is much harder to be slow and interesting then fast and N.S is doing just that with a great touch of evil.
