Temple Under Hell
Erebus Enthroned
Wow, this album is really good!
Coming from Australia, this quartet is specialized on Black Metal, done in the SWOBM way, sharp and darkened, but with more cavernous vocals, remind us all of some aspects of MAYHEM, Brazilian Black Metal forefathers SARCÓFAGO, and BLASPHEMY, so let the brutality begins!
Besides they don't focus their efforts in individual technique, you'll clear feel that they play in a good way, making the album not linear as some can think.
The sound production had Lachlan Mitchell on the recording and mixing, so it's very raw and aggressive, searching for a more 90's atmosphere, but this does not means that the album lacks of comprehension in terms of clarity. You'll hear all the instruments with no trouble at all.
Best ones: the long "Sorathick Pentecost" (it lasts more than 10 minutes, and it's darkened and morbid, with some good rhythmic variations), the charming "Crucible of Vitriol" (what great guitar riffs, and the vocals reminds some aspects of Atilla Csihar, from MAYHEM), "Void Wind", and "The Temple Under Hell". But the album is good as a whole, so don't throw other tracks always.
Very good album, so hear it and buy it!
