From the same country that gave birth to legends ROTTING CHRIST and SEPTICFLESH hail the Black Metal outfit DODSFERD. Their new release "A Breed of Parasites" is somehow accomplished full length with a surprising cover of one of the most respected US Black Metal bands JUDAS ISCARIOT alongside a few ambient pieces and MAYHEM inspired raw outputs.

"A Breed of Parasites" fulfills its duty without sounding off track and unprofessional Black Metal-wise, even adding lots of amazing ambient pieces to keep the entire release fresh and not just 30+ minutes of noise walls penetrating your ears. The ambient track "A Burden of Feeling Alive" for example isn't another typical track some guy made by sounding cool by tweaking his newly bought synthesizer, but sounds musically pleasing and very well done. Same to be said about another instrumental here, "... Till the Day You Die". From the raw attempts I'll have to choose the Judas Iscariot cover track "Eternal Bliss... Eternal Death" for not spoiling one of my favorite bands for me, but for making one of my favorite songs by them sound even better and more entertaining.

DODSFERD deliver an album for the Black Metal community to uphold and enjoy. It may not be worth 10 points, but with an album like "A Breed of Parasites", the only thing DOSFERD manages claim by the end of this review is my respect.
