Alcoolicos Nada Anonimos
Zombeers
WOW, this stuff is very good, indeed.
From São Paulo, Brazil, comes the quartet ZOMBEERS, with their first work, the EP "Alcóolicos Nada Anônimos" (which means "Alcoholics Non Anonymous" in Brazilian Portuguese), with five tracks of most pure Rock N' Roll in the vein of AC/DC and MOTORHEAD, with lyrics dealing with a famous trilogy for us all: sex, drinks and Rock N' Roll in our heads. It's nothing really new at all, but when something must be the newest kind of music to be good?
Produced by "Vagau" in his own "Cafofo" (a Brazilian slang for "home", so we can assume that it's his own home studio), and the sonority is raw and heavy, the way a good Rock N' Roll music should be. But it's not dirty to the point of turning the music in something we couldn't hear the instruments separately. It's in a good way, you can count on it.
"A Noite Vai Fever" is a Rock N' Roll that will rock you all (with good vocals), "Debaixo Desses Espelhos" is in a more "Motorheadian" way (oiled and brutal, with great guitars in the vein of "Fast" Eddie Clarke), "Sexta-Feira 13" is more in AC/DC way, making you shake your heads until your necks are aching, "Inferninho" (reminds us all again from Lemmy's gang, so, be prepared for the shock), and "Eu Quero Mais Cerveja" is another great song, with a good work from bass guitar and drums.
A very good work, and keep in mind that these zombies don't want you brains or blood, but your beers and girlfriends!
