Krypts - Unending Degradation album cover

KRYPT is a Death Metal band from Finland, founded and formed in 2008. It is labeled as a Death Metal band but I would say that the Doom Metal factor has its toll on them, especially with the lead growl vocals abiding by Doomish aspects.

Within the material's content, there is a sort of a resurrection. This album has a powerful, hellish and creepy atmosphere. Besides the music, you can also feel the chill by checking out the artwork or the track names.

KRYPT's music is really heavy, chunky Doom riffing and permanent double kick drums. Some of the songs speed up taking a Deathly turn like "Black Smoke". On the other hand, most of the stuff here is slow tempo tunes, massive as hell with a burning feeling of judgment day or brutal suffering after Death.

The form of the music is really raw with a probably intentional bad quality of sound, making the rhythm guitars and drums dominant. Furthermore, you can barely hear guitar solos, rarely there is a little short elementary passage. Most of the time there are atrocious rhythms mixed with raw guitar riffs with drum double pedals and death bass voice screaming growls.

Sure, the music can be fast and aggressive at times, but the main focus of KRYPT, it seems, is on creating some of the rawest and ugliest Death Metal that they can.
