ETECC - Volition album cover

Reviewing records by bands you've never heard of can be a crap shoot sometimes. You're going to win some, but mostly you're going to lose.

Folks, I'm glad to say that ETECC is a Royal flush. This is a really great album and I'm super happy to have discovered this band like this. I hear lots of great things in these tunes that remind me of some of my favourite bands yet ETECC have taken these songs and totally made them their own.

On "I Am The Light", you get John Bush era ANTHRAX played at 11. The next song, "Vasion" reminds you of early METALLICA. "Creed Of Demand" screams PANTERA. Like I said though, this is not just another band copying other bands. ETECC have taken the above styles and added their own twists.

"Volition" rages like the proverbial bull in the china shop. This is one hell of a beginning and something that everyone should be rocking on a regular basis. I really hope this makes people stand up and take notice of these guys. I could easily see these guys on stage opening for LAMB OF GOD, METALLICA, or ANTHRAX
