Born From Chaos

Dymytry Paradox

What is immediate is the feeling that even though this might be a debut album for DYMYTRY PARADOX, these are definitely not newbies at playing this kind of music. This is intense, this is energetic, this is enticing.

There once was a Czech Metal band from Prague called DYMYTRY that always sung (and still sing) in their native language. The band was formed in 2003 and were (and are) very productive. Thus far they produced 9 studio albums, 3 live albums, 8 EP's and two compilation albums. Then they decide to branch out into the big world, but they do understand that in order to succeed the Czech language might not suffice. That prompts them to sing in English, and in order to prevent confusion in the audience they add a word to their name, creating DYMYTRY PARADOX. Musically the one thing I have to say about this band and their debut album "Born From Chaos" is that they aren't afraid in choosing a genre, as they simply don't stick to one. Nope, they are able to mix Nu-Metal with Metalcore, Heavy Metal, Metal Hardcore and even some Alternative, Industrial and even Death Metal vibes into their brand of what I would call Modern Metal.

What is immediate is the feeling that even though this might be a debut album for DYMYTRY PARADOX, these are definitely not newbies at playing this kind of music. This is intense, this is energetic, this is enticing. The music on "Born From Chaos" goes from corner to another, but without that breaking the flow or atmosphere within the songs. It all sounds very coherent, really well put together and like a breath of fresh air. The mixing of all the musical genres is seamless and effortless, making listening to "Born From Chaos" a real pleasure. I feel that DYMYTRY PARADOX have done exactly the right thing by taking this step forward.

The production of "Born From Chaos" is full and massive, but still gives the band air to breathe when needed, like on "Reignite Me". This gives you enough intensity and energy to absorb, but all done in proper and manageable bites, which allows everyone listening to assess the music to its fullest. And before you ask, no, not every song is perfect, but this ready to consume album is as ready as DYMYTRY PARADOX can get it, in  order for you to enjoy it from the first tones until the last. And yes, every listening session will reveal a little bit more of what DYMYTRY PARADOX is capable of. I like it that much that I think it is time for me to discover what the Czech version DYMYTRY is all about.
