Audio Porn - Jezebels Kiss album cover

When a band can sound mature and sleazy in the same time, it can be made out as true art. In this particular case of the band AUDIO PORN, though the provocative name that I don't really think it is related in full to the music and lyrics subjected, which greatly interested with its nice blend of bad mouthing and confrontational words of wisdom and upfront music with adequacy and what seemed to me as an artistic nature for spiking preaching and atmospheric playing. This threesome crew line-up consists of two past members of the band JEZEBEL'S KISS, Azriel St. Michael & Byron Black, and the current HYDROGEN guitarist and producer, Jeff Westlake. "Jezebel's Kiss", also I saw a few mentioning notes that this album is actually a self-titled effort, is the meeting place where Classic Hard Rock of the 80s have a cold brew with modern or even Alternative Hard Rock with a moody characteristics. That blending between past and present ensured that this release may possibly be above the regular Hard Rock albums of the 80s influenced nowadays, yet, only after nearly half of the album AUDIO PORN began delivering their spot on talents both musically and lyrically.

On the band's bio I read about this band, it was noted that I will be dealing with two top graded lyricists. Boy did I have the pleasure of not listening to the same banal rambling about discarded relationships, lost loves and occasional sex. The bio sheet proved itself pretty well. As for the music, AUDIO PORN seemed have wanted to step out of the 80s vibe right into a modern edge that purely reined the large majority of the release. However, that newfound vibe that actually upgraded the release rather than throw it into the wolves sounded me like slacken versions of A PERFECT CIRCLE and MUSE along with a brittle version of the modern DEF LEPPARD (might not be soothing for some of you but who can beat the new cheesy emotion of the Brits?). "Cry Me A River" and "Sweet 16" are the crude cracking tunes filled with smells of nightstand sex and horrible endings. These two are rather 80s oriented with a little of the early 90s American feel. Nonetheless, what came after these two are the true figure of AUDIO PORN. "Above The Stars", the album's highest ranking on my bill, "Let Me Go", "Breath Away" and the closing highly flanger effected acoustic mayhem of "Arms Of Suicide", seemed to me so natural with a terrific flow intoxicating and saccharine distorted guitars playing great simple chords and lingering mid to raspy mid high toned vocals. There was something virtually romantic within the lines of supposed melancholia and the SILVERCHAIR like smashing lyricism.

I assume that the first thing that would have to come to your mind before reaching for your headphones and listening to this album is the following: don't judge a book by its cover. It might show a piece of a sexy woman's ass, but it isn't close to it. The last thing that this album is connected to is nasty sex. There is a little deepness in comparison to albums in the intended wicked nature. Check this one out.
