From Bandcamp, “Arovmia” is a conceptual work around the tittle name, a term in which I wanted to reflect the constant escape and search that every human carries, which become useless in your last second of life when you reach the realization that everything you were looking for was always there and that you were always part of the whole and not a separate piece. This concept was inspired by a near-death experience I experienced as a child, which has always made me question my humanity.” The album has eight songs, and “06152310” is first, a very short introduction, leading to “Gone Eyes.” The vocals are both clean and harsh, and littered with melodies, but the music is strong and firm. The combination of hard-hitting riffs, bass, and drums with two different vocal styles keeps the song energized, and there are also cinematic climaxes. “Anxiolytic Red Rivers” enters with an even stronger and thicker sound, with deadly harsh vocals, but melody is kept running through the song in a tight weave. Some of the music is melancholy and somber at times, and more vital at others. The more passive passage towards the end is just gorgeous.
“Flesh & Wires” is another very short song, segueing to “Digital Madness,” which has another hardened structure under a bed of dreamy clean vocals. It creates an exciting listening experience that reminds me of the vastness of the universe. “The End of Myself” has more intensity in the vocals and the music, and the album takes a look into emotions like anger and rage. Melody hangs on for the ride, but only with a couple fingers attached to the speeding vehicle. “Encrypted Psyche” has much more somber and introspective tones from the clean vocals, over a bed of electronica and clean guitars. This song drips with emotion in both styles of vocals and the music. The reverberation of the screams beguiled you to yell along with him. “The Fireflies” closes the album, and it’s a slower song still with a lot of power, intensity, and melody. The sheer amount of emotional response that the song gives me is noteworthy. You can feel every bit with a heightened sense. This album doesn’t just passively present emotions—it pushes them onto you, dragging you through peaks of rage, valleys of sorrow, and moments of contemplative stillness where the weight of it all finally catches up. It is an album that breathes, swells, and contracts, never content to sit in one mood for too long. Instead, it thrashes, aches, and yearns, making the listener feel every note, every scream, every moment of quiet introspection. Few albums can claim to capture the full spectrum of human emotion in such a raw and powerful way. This one does—and it leaves you changed because of it.
