Considered one of the hottest newcomers on the American metal scene, formed in 2022 in Los Angeles originally as a three piece consisting of James Paul Luna (Ex White Wizzard) on vocals, Filli Bibiano ( Active in Fortress and Gravesword) on guitar with Ben Richardson on drums. Then later in 2022 on the day Argentina won the world cup !The line up was completed by Filli Bibiano on guitar & keyboards. Before Intranced signed to High Roller Records they released an EP called “Inhanced” which also included a single. “ Muerte Y Metal” is their first full length release taking influence from great Spanish Metal bands including Baron Rojo, Angeles Del Infierno, Obus, Panzer, Muro amongst others.

Starting the album off full throttle is a fast paced quality heavy metal track “Reyes De Las Tinieblas” which translates to “At The Threshold Of Darkness” in English, sung in Spanish, I obviously can't understand the lyrics but the melody and rhythm of the track is so cool ,with some great runs and guitar riffs making the album start with one almighty bang. Intranced don't stop there ,they don't take their foot off the gas “Switchblade” has that classic rock vibe some great vocals from James Paul Luna. ”Fantasy” is one hell of a track a fast paced power metal style track with some killer vocals with a great melody an absolute rocker superb stuff. ”I Dunno Nothin''” has a nice deep thumping bass the back of the track sounds really Thin Lizzy influenced its catchy as hell musically and vocally. “Muerte Y Metal” in English translates to “Death And Metal” in English has a mixture of Spanish And English lyrics is very much an 80's classic metal sound a superb guitar solo, vocal performance, the drums, the groovy bassline is sublime.

”Entra La Tormenta” in English “The Storm Comes” is just a interlude of a storm that kicks into “Lady Lightning” another fast paced track pounding drums, guitars and high range vocals just oozes quality heavy metal superb. ”Pulse” is a more anthemic track, definitely has that 80's heavy rock sound of old, reminds me very much of The Scorpions and Dokken another great track as is the next track “Passionate Pretender “ which is another nod to classic rock of old, bands like U.F.O. & Rainbow with Intranced has that ability to do that , but still make it feel current & fresh, also appealing. ”See You On The Other Side” brings the album to a conclusion slowing it right down with a ballad which has some great vocals, some new acoustic touches. It has blues and soulful elements to the vocals, its moody ,emotional ,which then builds to some great guitar work from Filli Bibiano which has been excellent throughout the full album. A superb end to this album.

Intranced “Muerte Y Metal” have delivered a great debut album. Every track is superb delivered superbly. They have got everything right musically , vocally and production wise to a high level. I can definitely see why there is a buzz about Intranced ,judging by this album these guys have massive potential with the right exposure ,contacts and management they will be a huge band. I'm expecting big things from Intranced in the future ,there is bands that have been around 40+ years who still release albums today but they are not a patch on “Muerte Y Metal”. Highly recommended great album.
