In 2007, when Davidov and Dahan, a young Israeli duo, decided to start a band, little did they know that 4 years later they would sign with Century Media. All they had in mind was playing "death metal in the vein of early PARADISE LOST but with a more shamelessly evil and blasphemous touch and some MORBID ANGEL thrown in the mix". And most importantly, doing that in the underground scene.

So they recorded  their first EP named "The Sun Is Dead" (which so far remains unreleased), followed by "Armed With Hammers". Then they where crowned queens of the most morbid and satanic underground prom and found their prince charming in the eyes of Century Media.

Being so far from the center of the scene (Europe and the States), gives them the great advantage of remaining underground. And that reflects their sound too. Raw and oldschool, so detuned that sounds allmost out of tune, they seem like they recorded in their garage. And this is the right sound of death metal.

What the band next garage would never had though, and this is why SONNE ADAM stood out, is the confidence of a bigger band, the skilful compositions, the inspiration and the killing riffs that strangely sound plain and simple. The album is full of little masterpieces, yet they sometimes seem to loose the connection between them, but this is just a simptom of their youth. Overall, they are right to the point.

SONNE ADAM have the potential. I hope they remain pure and underground. If they do so, it wont take them long until they unfold their full potential and become fucking great.
