Melodic metallers Lankester Merrin from Lower Saxony have signed with Black Sunset/MDD! In the coming spring, the quintet around frontwoman Cat Rogers will release the follow-up to their, in April 2021, self-released debut "Upon the Forgotten". Musically, the band has taken a big step forward with their upcoming album, which was recorded and produced at the Institut für Wohlklangforschung in Hanover (a.o. Drone, Grail Nights), and has already secured the attention of Black Sunset/MDD with the first acoustic tasters. You can expect a mature melodic metal album with powerful songs that have a lot of catchy tune potential and a big breeze of power metal, without - despite being female fronted - drifting into symphonic metal.
