Eleine - We Stand United
September 11, 2025
I can not deny that the title song of this EP, “We Stand United”, doesn’t impress. I really love the way the band has been able to mix their Symphonic and Melodic Metal with Groove and attitude. Because there is no way around the fact that the track is full of all of the mentioned attributes, making it a very impressive song.

Grave Digger – Bone Collector
January 27, 2025
GRAVE DIGGER’s Bone Collector is a casket full of bone-cold metal. Nothing too groundbreaking, but when you’ve been playing at the heavy metal table for 45 years, consistency trumps innovation.

Liking it or not, this remake for this old Heavy Metal classic album is really excellent!

Seven Kingdoms – The Square
January 19, 2025
The Square starts off as a ripper, loses some traction midway, gets back on course, and then runs into a wall of 80’s sentimentality. To be fair, four of the five tracks are very, very good, pretty much making the EP well worth the price of admittance.

God Dethroned - The Judas Paradox
September 12, 2024
And again, the Dutch Death Metal kings brings us a trul masterpiece!!!!
review
Wolfheart – Draconian Darkness
September 9, 2024
This was an excellent album, with a nice combination of Melo Death elements and symphonic ones. The orchestral sounds didn’t take over the music however, but rather were there in support. The music was vital, and powerful, and leaves the listener with a sense of the magnanimous.

Crimson Veil – Hex
September 3, 2024
This was an excellent album that shifted often with mixed emotions...sometimes stalwart and angry, and other times sad, the two contrasting sounds kept the album alive, and the listener on their toes, because you never know what might be around the corner.

Voidgazer – Dance of the Undesirables
June 27, 2024
The best part of the album was the fanciful and calculated guitar work. In today’s world, the ubiquitous “riff” has all but disappeared, but VOIDGAZER reminds you that not only it is alive, but it is also continuous. The twin guitar architects spew forth a blazing approach to their craft, and is sets the tone for the album with confidence and power.

White Stones – Memoria Viva
June 26, 2024
There is no doubt that this is a unique album, even in considering the annals of Progressive music. Some critics might even argue that it suffers from a lack of cohesion, but I think the diversity of the album is its greatest strength.
review
The Eternal – Skinwalker
June 25, 2024
There are definitely elements of the aforementioned bands in their sound, but what they have crafted here is deeply personal and all their own. The songs carry a heavy emotional impact and burden to the listener, but also make you yearn for more punishment.

Kerry King – From Hell I Rise
June 17, 2024
“From Hell I Rise” is not a reincarnation of SLAYER, it is a continuation and modernization of a sound that influenced generations of Metal musicians and fans all over the Globe

Sebastian Bach – Child Within the Man
June 11, 2024
I make no secret of the fact that I love Sebastian Bach and he is one of my all-time favorite hard rock/heavy metal vocalists. The music he created with SKID ROW is monumental and remains three of the best albums in metal history. Well, the man is back after a ten-year absence with his latest release “Child within the Man”. I’ll be reviewing the album and also his concert from a few nights ago, so you’ll be getting a bonus twofer.
