Zubzero – Perverseverance
August 29, 2025
I can’t help but express my desire to be able to listen to a whole full-length album of good music of this quality. ZUBZERO have surpassed anything they have done in the past and should be ready to go out into the world and collect the praise that they deserve.

Theriac – Years Of Chaos
August 29, 2025
What surprises me more than anything is that with what THERIAC has laid down on tape and given to the Thrash Metal world I am rather confused as to why the band never got a record deal during those years that they were active. The quality of the songs is more than adequate, the way they play their Thrash Metal is eclectic, or if you will, chaotic.

Frightmare – Snake Island
August 29, 2025
Singer Brian Miller is also active in the band BURNT OFFERINGS, so if the name rings a bell that would make sense. He also is the only original member in the band. The rest came along on 2020. Well, this FRIGHTMARE album “Snake Island” is more of a compilation that houses the most current releases that the band brought into the world.

Zwart - Heem
September 16, 2024
The Black Metal these guys play is very, very old school. This is pure Black Metal without any frills, fills or spills. As straight as an arrow and as deadly as sin. And darker than the absence of light.

Faal / Verbum Verus – Split EP
September 16, 2024
It's never easy to review a spilt EP, as there are at least two bands with different styles that are interacting with each other. In the case of FAAL and VERBUS VERUS, we have two Dutch bands that have been put together, and the message on the back of the sleeve is that this all has been done 'In Memory of Pascal Vervest'. He was one of the guitarists in FAAL and is on the songs that you hear on this split EP.

Axehead – Meltdown
September 16, 2024
Although AXEHEAD is not one of those bands that will get your heart racing or your blood pressure rise to dangerous levels, they will provide you with enough ammunition to be able to vent whatever emotion that needs to come out. And that is what music is all about, isn't it?

Zubzero - Frostbite
September 9, 2024
If you love a bit of good Heavy music without complications but with a healthy dose of positive energy, you might want to give ZUBZERO a try and listen to “Frostbite”.

Burnt Offering – Frightmare (Demo 1985)
September 9, 2024
After a few listens i'm starting to wonder why no one picked up and signed BURNT OFFERING. In comparison with some of the releases halfway through the eighties they would have easily come through on top. Not only that, but my ears and brains are telling me that the music on “Frightmare (Demo 1985)” also has stood the test of time.

Americade – Live in New York 1982
September 9, 2024
What matters most to us as listeners is that all songs have that kind of quality that will have you take notice, will start the goose bumps coming up and make you enjoy the whole live show. All eleven songs are rather pleasing for the ears.

Indulgence – Grim Times
September 1, 2024
Let me start by saying that f you are expecting INDULGENCE to sound polished, slick or easy listening, you can get that notion right out of your head. This is honest, raw, direct and uncompromising Thrash Metal, with all the flaws that this brings.

Heavy Rain – Heavy Rain
September 1, 2024
HEAVY RAIN is a three piece Heavy Rock/Blues/Psychedelic Rock band from Blackpool, England. I only know that town from the Rock that is a candy stick and the Blackpool Tower, which is the little cousin of the Eiffel Tower. But I certainly have grown to like it a lot more, mainly due to the music on “Heavy Rain”.

AcidBait - AcidBait EP
September 1, 2024
The “AcidBait” songs themselves will stand up to any criticism you throw at them. No, they're not perfect, but they all have a good structure, a solid foundation and enough points that will keep you interested. This never bores.

Ear Danger – Minotaur
May 29, 2024
Let me be frank, every song you hear will take you back to the early eighties, due to the style of music that EAR DANGER are playing.
