Dysentery - Dejection Chrysalis
November 4, 2025
Let me put the Death Metal in general and especially the DYSENTERY fans at ease. What you get on “Dejection Chrysalis” can’t be construed as anything else that Brutal Death Metal.

Caesarean – Wretched Decrepitude
October 20, 2025
“Wretched Decrepitude” ranges somewhere between brutal Death Metal and Hardcore. Most of the tracks are very aggressive with simple and direct guitar riffing, plenty of blast-beats, and crushing basslines

I might not be the most devoted Death Metal enthusiast, but I know what I like, and “Surge Of Cruelty” has a musical substance that I find very good indeed.

Vulnificus – Inclination
September 20, 2025
The music that VULNIFICUS plays is anything but straight forward or simple. On the contrary, even though it does sound that way, when you really listen you hear and experience all the twists and turns, the breaks, the changes in tempo, while all the time being able to maintain that Extreme Heaviness and intense atmosphere.

Monoliyth - He Who Kills
September 8, 2025
“He Who Kills” is Brutal Death Metal, but still houses a lot of those small moments of subtlety, even if they sometimes only last a second. And I am glad they have done that, as it gives the Death Metal attack on the senses a little more depth, a tiny amount of emotion that isn’t rage, anger or violence.

Coffin Feeder - Big Trouble
April 26, 2025
COFFIN FEEDER is indeed “Big Trouble”, as they are making me like another musical genre that I have been able to leave at the sidelines until now. But I do know that if I wish to admire a Deathcore band from now on, they have to come close or exceed the quality of COFFIN FEEDER. And that, my friends, is something a lot of the bands trying will not be able to do, because I feel that the 35 minutes of “Big Trouble” is at the top of the Deathcore game.

Morgue - Close To Complete Darkness
September 10, 2024
MORGUE
, hailing from France, is a powerhouse within the Brutal Death Metal scene. Since their formation in the late 1990s, they have relentlessly carved a niche with their intense, guttural ferocity and technical precision. Their 2024 LP,
"Close To Complete Darkness"
, showcases the band at their bleakest, blending raw aggression with profound thematic depth, echoing existential despair. Known for crushing riffs and a meticulously crafted sound,
MORGUE
channels the visceral ferocity of early Death Metal while embracing modern Brutal Death Metal’s unyielding brutality.

Cutterred Flesh - Love At First Bite
July 14, 2024
I hope in the future, the band can really grasp these oddball ideas with their heavier side. The band feels like they are on the verge of releasing something truly masterful. Until then, “
