The album’s real triumph is how it merges two emotional forces rarely balanced this well: wonder and urgency. The melodic passages make you look upward in awe, while the relentless pace pulls you forward, heart racing, as though you’re chasing a revelation you can almost grasp.

Inborn Suffering – Pale Grey Monochome

This was an excellent album. The combination of hardened Death Metal with the despondence of Doom was very carefully balanced on the album, as were all of the backing elements that the band uses. What resulted was a rich, full sound of endless gray and unanswered questions…the kind that will gnaw at you until the end of your days.

Goodbye Meteor – We Could Have Been Radiant

Perhaps the best part of them album is that the band lays several paths across life for the listener to choose. Each one represents a different set of feelings and emotions, yet each meet together in the end. Does this mean that we really don’t have a choice? Not to me. For me, it means that we are free to follow whatever direction we want despite the common ending. For life is a journey, not a destination.
