Passage - Passage
April 7, 2025
It would be easy to write this full-length debut album off as a mere repeat hodge-podge of styles, but by itself it's a refreshing band with old school metal tropes. They might use a tried and true formula on here as many did before them but on the contrary, PASSAGE may end up being a superior effort due to tweaks in songwriting and the band itself feeling more confident than many bands out there in their 80s metal sweet spot.

Fractal Universe – The Great Filters
March 18, 2025
This album has something to offer to all Metal fans. Saxophone is an instrument that can be cliché in some Metal bands today, but on this album, it works so well. The combination of hard-hitting riffs, darkness, insane drumming, and melody, makes this band stand out from the crowd.

Untervoid - Parasite
March 7, 2025
Untervoid’s
2024 LP
Parasite
is an ambitious, progressive foray into the depths of Black Metal, melding a raw intensity with a meticulously crafted atmosphere that leaves an indelible mark on the listener’s psyche. Hailing from Poland, this band continues to redefine the genre with an approach that is at once brutally aggressive and hauntingly poetic. Throughout the album, one encounters a soundscape that is both expansive and claustrophobic, where every note serves as a gateway into a realm of existential despair and transcendence.

Exterior Palnet – Haragma II
February 20, 2025
This music was maddening, and the longer you listen to it, the more it entangles you into its vast web. The highly sophisticated web was designed by a spider that is as cunning as she is astute. Once you are entangled, there is no escape, and the tortuous music plays until your last breath.

Wings of Steel - Live in France
February 16, 2025
Releasing a “Live” album with only one full length album under your musical resume is usually not the normal progression in a bands catalogue, but that’s just what WINGS OF STEEL have done with their latest self-release “Live in France” capturing the raw and electric energy from their inaugural 2024 European tour.

The Cimmerian – An Age Undreamed Of…
January 24, 2025
This album was as much of a story as it was music, and the factored the themes mentioned above into their compositions. Their recipe of Doom, Sludge, Death and Black Metal results in a stew that is dark, thick, hearty, and even a little bitter.
review
Mantar – Post Apocalyptic Depression
January 23, 2025
Although they really aren’t presenting anything new with the style of the album, it’s pure blood, sweat and tears, gritty Rock N Roll, with a touch of Black Metal, and they present it confidently and with a big middle finger extended to anyone and everyone. The production is perfect for their brand as well.

Retromorphosis – Psalmus Mortis
December 8, 2024
One thing that is immediately noticeable about the album is the fact that it is steeped in the deep traditions of the genre, but it refuses to remain there. They band uses a modern approach to the music, and their technical mastery is strong. For me, it’s model of how modern Death Metal bands should be.
