Funeral Harvest – Malum in Se
November 13, 2025
This was a haunting album that you could easily relive as a recurring nightmare, and once you open the door and invite it in, it will never leave until you are dead.

Unén - Forever Winter
November 4, 2025
Musically the band know where they need to get their ideas from, and they are widely spread. Due to the musical genre UNÉN is using, there are the usual suspects, which I will not mention. The reason for that being is that I feel that you need to listen to the twelve songs on “Forever Winter” in their own merit, experience and judge them as their own entities instead of comparing them to any name I might have mentioned.

Czart – Czarty Polskie
October 27, 2025
CZART’s “Czarty Polskie” is a watershed album. They legitimize the whole AI metal endeavor . . . and if that sounds like sacrilege, remember metalheads have a long tradition of treading heretical paths.

Wings of Steel - Winds of Time
October 14, 2025
The term “Let the music do the talking” has never been more apropos than for WINGS OF STEEL and the release of their highly anticipated new album “Winds of Time”, where nostalgic old school metal meets innovative and vibrant new overtones to create a musical euphoria.

October 10, 2025
Dysthymia is a declaration of war from the Canadian underground. This is death metal that bleeds, breathes, and still bites.

"Doom isn’t just a genre, it’s an approach to music." – Stefano Fiorelli, WARCOE
October 7, 2025
WARCOE hails from Pesaro, Italy. Formed in 2021, following the year of our plague, the Doom trio has been blazing a trail through the Italian Doom scene with one monumental album after the other. On September 26, 2025 they released their third full-length album, “Upon Tall Thrones,” which not only weighed in at 8/10 on the Metal Temple scales but hit #1 on Doom Charts for September 2025. This month Gary Hernandez, writer and editor for Metal Temple, was able to catch up with Stefano Fiorelli (guitars, vocals) to discuss the origin story of WARCOE, details of their latest album, and even speculate on the impacts of AI and streaming platforms.

Auri - III - Candles & Beginnings
October 5, 2025
The songs on “III - Candles & Beginnings” themselves are not bad at all, if this is the kind of music you like. They have all been composed and played in a good way, giving room to all the instruments as well as the multiple layers of voices. If you ever need a respite from the heavy and loud noises of your Metal addiction, this might be a good antidote.

Sun of the Dying – A Throne of Ashes
October 3, 2025
This album stands as a monument to the contradictions of Doom Metal — where anger, sorrow, depression, and rage coexist in a suffocating yet strangely cathartic balance. Sorrow is not simply sorrow, it is colored by rage; depression is not simply numbness, but a raging anger at existence itself. Listening feels like staring into an abyss that both destroys and comforts. It is music that forces you to confront the weight of existence, to recognize the many shades of human anguish, and to find strange solace in their coexistence.

My Purest Heart For You – Australopithecus
September 23, 2025
This is an album that seems relatively easy to assimilate, but it presents as a wolf in sheep’s clothing. There are a lot of mysteries within, and the story goes deeper than just tortured screams over melancholy, solemn music. In many ways, I don’t want to unravel them. I would rather leave them there for the next listener.

Demiurgon - Miasmatic Deathless Chamber
September 5, 2025
And even though the music on “Miasmatic Deathless Chamber” is so encroaching and effective in heaviness and intensity, you never get the feeling that DEMIURGON is overdoing it, is playing above or out of their league. You always have the sensation that they are well within their comfort zone.

Nefarious - Addicted to Power
September 5, 2025
Thrash Metal is the main ingredient that NEFARIOUS uses to mark their music. but it is not all they use. Nope, you will also get regular Heavy Metal mixed in, but in a way that the Thrash Metal title used will stay upright through it all.

Temtris – Queen Of Crows

Perishing – Malicious Acropolis Unveiled
September 1, 2025
This wasn’t a bad album by any stretch of the imagination, it just failed to launch from the pad it was grounded on. It relied too much on past formulas and didn’t really offer anything new to the genre. I would encourage the band to take more chances next time.

Wings of Steel - We Rise (single)
August 24, 2025
A beautiful girl can give you a wink and a smile and get labeled a “tease”, well WINGS OF STEEL is that beautiful girl, and their “tease” is the release of the second song/video off their highly anticipated album. The big difference is that I never got a date with that beautiful girl, but I will get a date with the new album “Winds of Time” set for -self-release on October 15.

Zetra – Believe
August 22, 2025
As a writer, one of the more fulfilling parts of my job is watching a band’s evolution over time. This being their second album, they were firing on all cylinders until that final four-movement song, but let's get back to that. What I heard on this album was more of an open embracement of melodies and hooks. The core of their sound is still there…Gothic style keyboards mesh with vibrant melodies and while there are somber tones, they take a back seat to those great hooks. The final song is a bit of a mystery for me, and it leaves the album hanging, and the listener wanting more. This is a unique band that has an uncommon sound that is just so pleasing to me.

Falling Leaves – The Silence That Binds Us
August 17, 2025
Overall, this was a good album, but it could have been better with more diversity from song to song. In my opinion, they need to take more chances, which can be done while still retaining their sound.

Born of Osiris – Through Shadows
July 23, 2025
This album is a hybrid beast forged in the pressure chambers of heavy electronica, bone-shattering djent riffs, and absolutely deadly harsh vocals. It’s relentless, groove-wrapped aggression from start to finish, but beneath all the sonic violence lies something even more surprising: melody, precision, and control. Melody is also key. The contrast makes the heaviness heavier, the electronics colder, the brutality feel earned. It’s not a constant presence, but when melody arrives, it cuts through the chaos like light through smoke.
