interview
Bob Mitchell - (Sceptor)
January 22, 2022
Essentially one can do everything in music, and survive, depending on public support. Of course, it doesn't mean that artists can't be unique and produce something that is less popular, because art doesn't have to be like everything else, it more up and personal and less for grabs. Sceptor, generating a Heavy Metal style that has a direct contact to the US Metal prowess of the 80s, have been adamant in their direction, and lately producing one of their best albums under the moniker, "Rise To The Light". Talk about optimism, yet with a heavier punch. Steinmetal had the honors with a short talk with the renowned vocalist, Bob Mitchell, about his performance on the record, the album's music and more…

interview
Fili Bibiano - (Fortress)
January 17, 2022
If there is something that one desires, it should be fought for. There are things in life that in order to get them, an effort has to be made, as it is not just there for the taking. With enough motivation, and not always skill, it is possible to strive for what mind, soul and heart want, yet it could become a struggle. Fortress's Fili Bibiano wanted independence as an artist, and struggled quite a lot for it. Eventually, he came out as victorious with the formation of the Fortress. With the release of the band's debut, "Don't Spare The Wicked", Fili had a story to tell, and Steinmetal wishing to hear it.
interview
Johhny Maule - (Maule)
January 16, 2022
Not every band out there really keeps in check everything, as most of the bands out there started, and some survive, based on pure fun. There is no detailed plan, unless this is an upcoming career path, and effort is made when needed. Bands like Maule, hailing from Canada, share devotion for the old school ways of making Metal, following the British side of things without question. Coming up with a new album, self-titled "Maule", is a showmanship of the freedom of Heavy Metal. Steinmetal had a good chat with the band's bass man, Johnny Maule, on the latter's perspective of the music and of course the process of the record.

Denis Brosowski - (Iron Fate)
January 16, 2022
It is no secret that it has been nearly impossible to whom to put one's trust in, in particular those that represent us, supposedly. People change their skins in a frequent rate, therefore, uncertainty of what is coming next, has an important part of our lives. The reformed Iron Fate band, which started quite well in their early days, returns after a deep slumber, with a new album, "Crimson Messiah", talking about those seducers, those that influence us, and cannot be trusted. Steinmetal had a talk with the band's Denis Brosowski about returning to the fold with new material, the new album and more…

Sakis DarkFace - (W.E.B.)
December 22, 2021
It is possible that mankind will never learn from its past mistakes, and from what the present pictures and reflects, there is a little chance for someone to wake up and actually do something about it. Similar to ancient Rome, there is a pleasure in blood, meaning two people fight each other, and not for sport. The continuous fighting is a symbol, as if there is nothing more to take pleasure from. Blood on TV may just be the next stage, and no one would like to tread this field. The Greek extreme Metallers, W.E.B. took their new "Colosseum" to the next level, and it apparent that there are no stop signs. Steinmetal had a good talk with the band's founder, and leader, Sakis DarkFace, about his interpretation of all that surrounds the new album, and more…
interview
Bakka Larson - (Necrofier)
December 16, 2021
Something's got to give, and if a journey has to end, in order to start a new one, so be it, it will happen. The story of the Texas based, Necrofier, is based on a desire to put freshly written work to action, to be properly presented to those that wish to listen. Coming from a fairly religious area in the US, it was bound that the band's Black Metal repertoire would be extreme, and decisive. With the release of their debut album, "Prophecies of Eternal Darkness", through Season Of Mist. Steinmetal had to learn from the experience by speaking with the band's vocalist, Bakka Larson.

Nico Mirolla - (Kardashev)
December 7, 2021
Genre-nerds rejoice! A new sub-sub-genre is born. The founders of Deathgaze, US-based
KARDASHEV
, released their
"The Baring Of Shadows"
EP last year to great acclaim, including a subsequent signing to Metal Blade Records. The range of emotions is intense, with everything from outright grief to deep contemplation and regret. Given the time it was released there's certainly much most of us can relate to! Given the unique opportunity to talk to these guys,
Metal Temple
writer
Andrew Graham
wanted to gain insight into their creative process and what has influenced their sound and style. Over the course of or conversation they talked lockdown boredom, the value of grief and sadness, and lofty artistic influences. All this gives the impression of a unique group of musicians with a distinct vision and sound all their own, working to remind us all that there is value and wisdom in sadness, and that we have common ground in our suffering and collective hardships."

Jo Henning Kaasin - (Kaasin)
November 21, 2021
"Surely, you can do better". That is an unforgettable line that is bound to survive the test of time, and "Don't call me Shirley", follows it. But that is not the reason why this comical edge resurfaced. Jo Henning Kassin knew that he has something in the mind that has to be out, and in a different format, and it was better than he ever did. Therefore, Kaasin was born and its debut album, "Fired Up" is an evidence, a token, a parcel of huge amounts of talent, dictating the bread and butter of Blues / Hard Rock. Steinmetal had the honors to chat with Mr. Kaasin about this new journey of exploration through the veils of his own burning mind
