Arson
Fatal Fire
Arson” is a good debut album and has all the typical ingredients of traditional Power Metal
The Silver Key
Crystal Viper
“The Silver Key” is a very good concept album to listen to, and especially Power Metal fans will love what they hear
Disintegration Of The Individual
Suffersystem -
Suffersystem duo releases their latest album.
Raw Blood Singing
Insect Ark
I can see how vocals were recently added to the band, because the album would stand up without them just fine. They add an intriguing blend of psychedelica and emotion to the music, which is indeed icy cold as described above. This is not an easily assimilated sound, but one that is filled with mystery is always work the exploration.
The Aurochs
Thousand Limbs
A heavy bass presence is key to delivering this sound, and we have that in spades here. An “auroch” is an extinct cattle species, and that’s the kind of mystery I encounter on the album. Each listen brings something new, and more depth. See if you can unlock some of life’s secrets with “The Aurochs” by THOUSAND LIMBS.
The Dark Horizon
Veriteras
This was a solid album. It’s classical in the sense of sounding like the early forefathers of the genre, and there is almost enough of the band’s personality here. A little bit more personality however would really give us the flavor of what the band and album is all about. They have the talent, and the drive, we just need to hear more of what they have to offer.
Verum Malum
Draugnim
It seems evil will always win, or at least, that is what is reported in the news. Wars, crimes, and other atrocities seem to be all that gets headlines these days. If evil wins, we are all in trouble. To get a closer look at this world they paint, take a trip down DRAUGHNIM’s album here, and dive head first into the darker side of life.
The Untold War
Nastergal
Overall, you have to give props for a band that shares a singular vision on the album, as well as an uncompromising energy, and the will to dominate. These are the three things that come through strongest for me, in addition to their strong musicianship.
A Mass To The Grotesque
Troops Of Doom
Sepultura first guitar player releases an album with his new band.
Converging Parallel Worlds
Throne of Thorns
WOW, what a great Symphonic Power Metal release, and it's different from the usual!
Amalgamations of Gore
Mutilation Barbecue
If you want Death Metal in Old School ways, you've got it with this album.
Dark of the Night
Lokheira
A good first release of this North American Power Metal act.
Head Hammer Man
Horndal
This Swedish Sludge Metal act is releasing a fine album, indeed.
Glamdemic
FerreTT
This Glam Metal album is like a pandemic: hear and get in love with the band's music!
Solace in Absurdity
Brutalism
A fine first coming from this Technical/Brutal Death Metal act.
Interpretations of the Unknown Wilderness
Antagonyze
A very good Old School Death/Thrash Metal release.
Order of the Mist
Hyldr
Highlights of the album include the vocal harmonies, persistent somber tones, and the way it was all put together into emotionally charged compositions that hit you where your feelings are strongest.

The story of Marchello, the band, is indeed a rather complex tale, all starting in […]

The Serpent Abomination
Atrexial
This was a fantastic album. It had all the hardened and contentious elements that you would expect from the genre, but also a deep connection in songwriting, and some complex arrangements that were also easily accessible to the listeners. Most of the ride was quite harrowing, and if you were to climb back in, you may never return to the world of the living.
I Am A Demon
Vesseles
Let’s start with talking about how fantastic the album cover is…the demon woman, the logo, and the coloring are vibrant. The music is equally as compelling. Each track plunges the listener into a relentless cycle of anguish and torment, capturing the raw intensity and repetitive nature of suffering. This auditory journey immerses the listener in what seems like a real time experience, making the album a powerful exploration of relentless agony and torture.
Thanatopoeia
Meister Leonhardt
The band’s form of black metal is pretty aggressive and bleak but they still throw in atmospheric and melodic curveballs. It’s a great listen from start to finish and is one of the better black metal albums I’ve heard lately. If dark, hopeless music is your thing (and if it isn’t, you need to take care of that) then I highly recommended
MEISTER LEONHARDT
’s “
Thanatopoeia
.”
Der Wald zwischen den Welten
Granitader
Ultimately, GRANITADER’s “Der Wald zwischen den Welten,” isn’t what I expected…it’s fun, engaging and catchy but, at the same time, it’s straight up black metal. A very strong debut album that is hopefully a sign of more to come from them.
This Mortal Coil
Lynchpin
LYNCHPIN sheds the skin of their former selves, and anoints their bodies with the essence that births the serpentine hymns, and with the tongue of malice, creates a virulent strain of aggression in the sound of art.
Social Grace
BRAT
New Orleans is famous for a lot of things, but for me three come to mind—the humidity, the food, the music. As for the music, of course, there is the jazz, but the Big Easy also has a thriving underground metal scene. BRAT is a product on that scene, and they are solid ambassadors.
Inferno
Speedkiller
Overall, “Inferno” from SPEEDKILLER is a solid debut. Fusing Black and Thrash, it will appeal to a wide range of extreme metalists. If you weren’t there for their 2020 EP, it’s not too late to join the descent.
The Moon Lights the Way
Grain of Pain
From their EPK, “GRAIN OF PAIN hails from Finland, delivering a powerful blend of dark […]
Dawn Of Reckoning
Valfreya
VALFREYA deliver an excellent symbiosis of symphonic Black Metal and Folk Metal, with a spine-chilling melodic framework and led by an amazing vocalist
From Hell I Rise
Kerry King
“From Hell I Rise” is not a reincarnation of SLAYER, it is a continuation and modernization of a sound that influenced generations of Metal musicians and fans all over the Globe
Wild Fever
The Hazytones
THE HAZYTONES are slow. Just to put it all into context, THE HAZYTONES are too slow for Stoner Rock. On the other end of the spectrum, they are just not slow enough for pure Doom Metal.
Serpent's Kiss
Ironbound
“Serpent’s Kiss” is a fine example of Polish NWOTHM. What becomes clear when the guitars come in is that the guitarists have taken a leaf out of the massive book of IRON MAIDEN.
Freaks
Avralize
What I suspect is that when you have the chance to see them live, you will become on of the “Freaks” in the audience, because I feel that the songs on the album lend themselves brilliantly to being live favourites.
D’muata
Perchta
What impressed me most about the band and the album was how vast and wide their songwriting skills were. At times, it was fairly straightforward rage and anger, like you might expect from Black Metal. But they inject a lot more into the music, including tones of melancholy, and even tones of beguilement. If you take the plunge and become immersed in the album, you will exit the experience a different person.
The Savage Winds of Wisdom
Black Lava
This was a fantastic album, with a highly polished combination of technical elements, heavy weight, and an equal dose of harrowing elements you associate with Black Metal. It’s all wrapped up in a package that is so tight, you couldn’t squeeze in between the layers if you were as thin as paper.
Oath
MONO
For me, what the album does best is dive deeply into the themes of paradoxes, serving as a reflection of the contradictions and complexities that many of us encounter in life. The songs weave together opposing elements, swells and contractions, creating a sound that mirrors the nature of our experiences, and explores the tension between hope and despair. In many ways, it captures the very essence of the human condition.
Ravenous
Waste a Saint
What about some melodic and fuzzy fusion between Classic Rock, Acid Rock with a taste of the 70s?
