Abysmal Ascent
Amputate
With a raw putrid stench of death thats corrosive and festering from Switzerland .
Bleeding Star
Kingdom Of Giants
The good Metal that I don't like.
Pole
Veuve
“Pole” is one of those albums that somehow presents itself differently every time you listen to it. And if it strikes you like it did me, then you’ll be listening to it a lot.
Kadath
The Great Old Ones
Metalheads and metal artists tend to enjoy exploring obscure corners of the universe. THE GREAT OLD ONES and “Kadath” are perfect examples. Great stuff for metalheads who like their fiction the same way they like their metal—dark, heavy, and highly disturbing.
Astral Iron
High Warden
As for rating “Astral Iron”, that is not too difficult. This is rather good put together, and there is not one time that you get bored whilst listening to what HIGH WARDEN is shoving our way. And as for making their music the centre of attention, I have to admit that with “Astral Iron” they have made the right choice. It is quite a pleasure to listen to the album.
No Place For The Damned
Tantrum
TANTRUM plays Heavy metal with Melodic and Speed Metal influences thrown in for good measure. It does give them a certain kind of sound.
Animal Instinct (Reissue)
Tygers Of Pan Tang
Since “Animal Instinct” was released, TYGERS OF PAN TANG have avoided giving us sub standard music. Every album since then has hit the mark in quality and intensity.
Sorrows
Warm Gadget
As for the music, it is exactly I would expect from an Industrial band that has their feet firmly in the nineties like WARM GADGET. No new found experimantation, no Extreme Metal sidelines, Simple and effective, with hard beating drums, good heavy bass playing, piercing guitar riffs and a very disturbing voice.
Diablesse Of Revolution
Whisky Of Blood
WHISKY OF BLOOD writes and plays simple and straight forward music without any difficult or elaborate parts. This is like an arrow. And I have to say that “Diablesse Of Revolution” is full of very pleasant songs that will make your life just that much easier than it was.
Through Storms Ahead
As I Lay Dying
The USA Metalcore masters are back with this outstanding full-lenght! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Ascension
Valkyrie’s Fire
“Ascension” is a promising mixture of symphonic Metal and Power Metal, all embedded into an interesting melodic framework
Anatomy Of Darkness
Haliphron
“Anatomy Of Darkness” is a well-composed symphonic Death Metal album with Black Metal twists. The album is a crushing and aggressive delivery, led by punishing guitar riffing, relentless double-bass drumming, and versatile growls
The Sons of Perdition - Chapter IV: To Shadow Zion
Panzerfaust
PANZERFAUST
’s “
The Suns of Perdition - Chapter IV: To Shadow Zion
,” returns the band to the top of their game and a sterling example of what music is capable of doing when a band can fully realize their vision and present that vision effectively to its listeners.
Die Berge
PAYSAGE D'HIVER
All in all,
PAYSAGE D’ HIVE
R’s “
Die Berge
,” is a fantastic atmospheric black metal band that doesn’t sacrifice any hallmarks of the genre in return for such a long, winding, adventure. Despite its length, this is an engaging album that will provide hours of enjoyment as long as you are patient with it to show you what its made of.
There’s No There, There
Bodybuilder
All of the elements mentioned in the press release are true about what you will find on the album. It is indeed a harrowing journey to doors or terror and pain that you shut away years ago in your mind. Now, they are reopened once again.
Sins of the Father
Abramelin
“
Sins of the Father
,” is an album that is balanced across the pantheon of extreme metal and offers a straight up 100% death metal
Shadowreaper
Night In Gales
“Shadowreaper” is a testament to the strength of the modern day melodic death metal scene. These guys are as good as any of the other old school MDM bands and they still stand tall above anyone in the modern scene.
Faust - Act I "Prelude to Darkness"
Stranger Vision
This was an excellent album. The band’s musicianship is as good as anyone else out there, and they put together a melodic and memorable album that really just hints at the talent that these guys have. I can’t wait to hear where they go from here.
The Grand Inferno
Tungsten
One of the finer points of the album is indeed the band’s ability to shift gears through a few different genres of Metal. They are all accomplished musicians, as well as an outstanding vocalist. The album has staying power as well. The songs are polished clean, and memorable.
Origins
The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara
My biggest problem with the album is the label. I know, I know, I tend to be a bit of a gatekeeper. But when you call yourselves Progressive Metal yet you are pretty far from that definition, I take issue. The album wasn’t bad per se, but it fails to really get under your skin and light a fire. That fire could even be subtle emotion. I hate to be overly critical, but I am still scratching my head.
La Società degli Eterni
Tony Tears
Part Doom, part Rock, and even part Psychedelic, this was a strange album with a strange sound. I wasn’t able to connect with most of the songs at all, because of the way the vocals were delivered mostly. The music was odd as well. File this under strange.
The Mercenary Notes, Pt 2
Derision Cult
Remember the first time you heard ROB ZOMBIE? I do, and I found his sound to be simple, but totally innovative. That was 25+ years ago, and I have that same sense of creativity from DERISION CULT. One thing that struck me from the start of the album is that some of the music is tongue-in-cheek, while other parts are stone sober. It’s like a new wave of refreshing music that will make you think all over again.
Trigger the Short-Fused
Walfang
This was a difficult album to fully digest, and I typically go for music that is off the beaten path, and this is for sure. I have to admire their creativity, as well as their ability to push through boundaries of what the average listener has come to expect from music. In that sense, they are visionaries. But the bottom line for me is that it was very hard to make any connections on the album, and this was one mashup that I was not able to enjoy much.

In the Jaws of Bereavement
Maul
This Death Metal band shows clearly what means to evolve without leaving aside its personality. Hear to it! NOW!
Burning Bridges
Lars Eric Mattson
Wow, another great Melodic Rock release offered by Lars!!!
Edifice of Vicissitudes
Iniquitous Savagery
The potential of this Brutal Death Metal quartet is amazing. Be prepared for the massacre!
Haunting Charnel Grounds
Ifrit
This is a fine first coming from these Death Metal killers from New Zealand.
Nyx (Hymnejä Yölle)
Horna
Wow, what a great Black Metal release, showing the band at its peak!
Überkill
Barathrum
The Finnish Black Metal legend is back with another killing release!
Moth Eater
Ruff Majik
South Africa for the win!
Blight Privilege
Nachtmystium
Although one could describe the album fairly loosely as Black Metal, it’s clear that Blake has his own vision of his music, and it takes all kinds of tangents, but also ones that make sense in the scheme of the album. It’s a testament to Blake and his hand’s vision for their craft.
At Death’s Gates
Slechtvalk
At its base, I think it’s smart to call this Black Metal, but there is so much more going on. The veteran bands knows how to seamlessly blend many other styles of Metal into their aggressiveness, which includes Death, Viking, and Symphonic notes. They also prove to be masters of their trade, and excellent musicians. This album will definitely please their die hard fans, and gain them some new ones.
Loved By None, Hated By All
Lifesick
This is neither here nor there, but I hear mostly Hardcore music from this band, albeit with some of the music rooted in Death Metal. My biggest concern, besides the vocal style (and that’s a matter of taste after all), is that many of the songs sounded too similar to one another. Did the band succeed at a crushing sound? Absolutely. Beyond that? Not too much.
Religious Disease
Disarray
Good Thrash Metal from Sweden.
