The Long Lasting Dusk
Will O' Dusk

WILL O' DUSK is an Italian band from Milan that was formed in September 2023 and now feel that they are ready to expose the world to their brand of Heavy Metal, or what is more accurate, their kind of Hard Rock. The way they approach their music is with a lot of emotion and compassion. They do that by constructing and adopting a certain kind of atmosphere. You might feel that it is Stoner Rock or a bit like Alternative at times, but those descriptions just don't hit the mark in full. Hard Rock doesn't either, but as WILL O' DUSK is able to properly translate their emotions into their music, I'm not too worried how to describe this. What oi do know is that I like what is on "The Long Lasting Dusk".
What is good about "The Long Lasting Dusk" is that the music has enough substance, is well thought out and obviously played with a lot of pleasure. And then there is Riccardo Maria Barchiesi. He is the kind of singer that every band would like to have. He is the quintessential chameleon, that is able to hit the right notes, give off the right vibe and expose the right atmosphere that the song is aiming for. He might not be as impressive as some of the greatest Metal vocalists around, but he does a cracking job as it is. He is aided by the whole of WILL O' DUSK, who all are very capable when playing their music, but I need to mention guitarist Danilo Casali separately. Not only is his riffing precisely what you want to hear, he also has the ability to make the solos he plays speak to you, make them an integral part of the songs.
As you might have guessed, I like what WILL O' DUSK are doing on "The Long Lasting Dusk". It's good, it's solid, it works, it fits. But it doesn't make me go all weak in the knees, become giddy with excitement. It does provide me with over 38 minutes of pure joy with their brand of Hard Rock, and amongst all the terrorising noise that I usually listen to it definitely is an oasis to cherish. So, this is for everyone who started off listening to Hard Rock before they developed into Metalheads, plus to every sucker that needs a bit of respite from the very Heavy metal from time to time; you can do a lot worse than listening to WILL O' DUSK on their debut album "The Long Lasting Dusk". They might provide you with exactly the peace that you require.
