Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: U.D.O; hailing from the glory of Germany, performing Heavy Metal - on their 16th studio album entitled: "Steelfactory" (released August 31st, 2018).

Since formation in 1987; the band in question have 15 albums in their discography so far, I am introduced to their 16th album entitled: "Steelfactory". 15 tracks ranging at around 01:08:47; U.D.O arrange an intricately designed formula of hard-hitting Heavy Metal developments, the band need no introduction (I should certainly hope not anyway) in the Metal landscape – using similar melodies from the mighty ACCEPT; and the rhythmic thunder they convey in, mastermind Udo Dirkschneider creates consistently composed energy with the same distinctive electricity. "Tongue Reaper" begins the record; demonstrating distinguished songwriting skills, amalgamated with concretely executed grit with bouncy catchiness.

Consisting of former ACCEPT vocalist Udo Dirkschnider; the frontman delivers recognizable pipes that are staple in the U.D.O soundscape, "Make The Move" exercises this motive as he distributes those crunchy injections of elegantly performed and operatically poetic cords – while established with rapidly swift nimbleness from guitar duo Andrey Smirnov & Bill Hudson, in songs like "Keeper Of My Soul & the boistrously catchy "In The Heat Of The Night". There is a grandiose manifestation of meticulous proficiency and prominently relentless thumpiness from powerhouse drummer Sven Dirkschneider, battering and pounding his steel with flamboyant ramifications that are just a joy to hammer to - profusely robust stuff here so far.

"Raise The Game" continues the blistering aesthetics which assaults with diverse dynamics and organic substances, variating with vehement stability that's coverged with crushing contrast and malignant stimulation. As audible bassist Fitty Wienhold embellishes on frolicking thunder in the next rampaging stampede that is "Blood And Fire", thumping his strings with fluidly polished persistancy and attributes with flair and finesse. "Rising High" excels with a granduer of captivating snappiness, showcasing jumpy juxtapostions which have an abundant amount of memorably original rawness to it. "The Devil Is An Angel" portrays more constructively complex dexterity, efficiently chugging and galloping away with mid-tempo technicalities that are progressively magnificent.

"Hungry And Angry" ultilizes slamming sufficiency; with speed and intensities that has gnarly efficiacious effectiveness with barraged, hardened hymns that will make anyone enjoy themselves - this also captures most metalheads in their everyday crave and struggle for headbanging entertainment. The embedded single "One Heart One Soul" was my first taste of new U.D.O material; of which at first I was sceptical about the new record in general as it came across as cheesy and generic, probably the video made me think that with its approach – however; as I listen to it via audio, it inevitably grew on me as an enlightening and relishing track. "Pictures In My Dreams" is an anthemic tune, that has interesting conceptual craftsmanship which is exquisitely forged with iron and incredible metal meltdowns.

Phew, this is a long review... at least it is exciting. The next belter is the epic "A Bite Of Evil", with its chorus-ridden enchantments embodied with full-throttle and action packed salubriousness. Typical ACCEPT influcenced style track "Eraser" has a differeniated characteristic with a much more prodegious flavour, frantically grooving with a borderline foundation of primitively punchline maliciousness. "Rose In The Desert" is a monolithic giant, embossed with meaty grinds and hooks that provides a most riveting listen. Overall concluding "Steelfactory" with the stunning finale with "The Way"; I actually was surprised with this one, this was my first full intake of an U.D.O record and knowing the band has been doing this for more than 40 years is quite the astonishing feat.

Bottom line; as a rabid ACCEPT fanatic, U.D.O and the "Steelfactory" is a great introduction to one of the synonymous bands in Heavy Metal history – it is most certainly worth your time and money, check it out.<
