Sweden's THE QUILL are offering a reissue of long time hard to find "Hooray for a Deathtrip." Fans will find it on vinyl for the first time, and newcomers will have a chance to get a hand on this pretty nice album. THE QUILL is great Hard Rock & Stoner Rock by very talented and versatile musicians. I don't know how I got to know them only in 2018. The vocals reminds me of SOUNDGARDEN's Chris Cornell, which is a good thing. This album is very entertaining from start to finish and offers a lot. Sometimes we get reissues and we are questioning ourselves: why did they release it? This time its worth it and it marks the return of the band with a brand new release called "Born from Fire." We have eleven songs and each of them are relevant.
"Spinning Around" is a great opener, showing the band's great skills and musicianship. "Come what May" has overwhelming vocals and such a great vibe, because I'm God who shows the master without that arrogant approach we often can see. "Control" is an excellent power ballad led by Magnus Ekwall's superb voice and vocal skills. It took a while to have these lost gems reissued and it is 100% worth it. "Giver" is a hell of a cool flashback feel into the nineties. You miss Chris Cornel's golden years? You should definitively have a listen! They'll release a brand new album.soon called silver haze. It's nice that they are back for good!
