Talia - Let Sleeping Dogs Lie album cover

Rock and Metal are waters that run through many paths between smarter and calmer sounds, however there are some bands and songs that are what I call the connection in the puzzle, bands that you can listen to any time of day without causing you any kind of reaction other than a relaxing day or sharing a festival, and exceptionally playing on the radio at any time and being pleasant to the audition. This is the feeling when we hear the work of the trio of Paris and Los Angeles, TALIA in his new EP "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie" released on May 4, 2018 by Pavement Entertainment and behind a sound explosion of those who stir the public at great shows and will cheer you on the way to work while the radio is on.

With a charming cover and a mix of infectious riffs and incisive bass lines the band features five tracks as fresh as the summer face, something that resembles things like HOLE in the 90s but with a lot more professionalism, or quality.  Certainly this is a perfect setting for what you'll find on this album, a trip back to the 90's, and you'll notice it right away when you listen to 'Afraid of Heights' with lively vocals and festive atmosphere accompanied by a pleasant vibe from the work of drum kit, and it really reminded me of more fun things from bands like FOO FIGHTERS or THE OFFSPRING, well remembered, where did those guys go? It does not matter because we have the feel of vibrant and fun music right here now so it's easy to move on 'Still Waters' that starts slightly calmer before all shades change, and no doubt the beats are strong and I can easily imagine if this had come out in the 90s, we would certainly see this video of this track often happening on the forgotten MTV in one of those days with beach programs, I felt old now, but it is really good the sensation.

Then we find another track that I can think of quietly playing on the radio, "Still Waters," and the theme is applied again to catchy and simplistic lines although with a good production. And if there is something I loved in the late 90's were the summers of my youth and that good feeling that everything is renewed, the fresh breeze on the face and the beach ... the sea .  So here is a track that combines all elements perfectly, to the acoustic sound of a simple guitar to 'Bleed You Dry' as youthful and serene as the youth of that time without so many cell phones and technology, times to gather friends and run to life, then certainly not counting so much the part of letters because I have learned that letters can have a different meaning for each listener.  Analyzing the work as a whole we can say that this sounds like a breath of joy, practical, not very different, but that caters to a mass of listeners who only want some fun and a little peace, so surely a great album for you to enjoy life, come on.

As I mentioned above we are talking about an EP and the trip to the past will be short ending in "In the Evening (New Wave)" that closes the work with points by the amusing proposal of the band that certainly attributed a characteristic so young and provided with energy how much of the day-to-day.
